Obafemi cup-tied so hopefully Cullen and Whitaker will get to strut their stuff, go for 3 up top with Piroe , Cullen and Whitaker, Fulton must get his chance for a midfield berth alongside Ntcham and Grimes , Williams , Cabango for a young cener back pairing with Laird and Bidwell full backs and either of our keepers will give us a decent attacking 433 lineup to start the match .

I'm in favor of Benda too, I'm not sure how Benda or Hamer would rate in a shootout though. We could take them straight to pens.

Whittaker is a superior option to Paterson.
Fulton is a superior option to Downes ... so is Smith

I'm open to quibble about Whittaker v Cullen but I'm not exactly sure what role Paterson is supposed to be playing. He's not effective when we're under the cosh ... yet he gets a goal or two with lucky deflections and then misses a ton he should be tapping in. Cullen and Whittaker wouldn't be missing close in and Whittaker has shown he can score from distance.

No doubt Brighton will field a weakened side but they still might prove too strong for us. At least they like to get it down and play football which might give us a chance. I'm not expecting a win but I'd like to see a performance that'll give us hope for the future. Perish the thought of another first 45 as at Luton! Every game the lads play gives them more practise at getting them where Martin wants them to be. Let's see some evidence of that tonight.

Nice to see Cooper getting a game. Class player.

Fulton and Smith with Walsh ... who was a little light in the loafers against Luton. No Dan W, I don't see why Walsh should get a start after his minimal performance in the first half against Luton. Surely Dhanda should get that start.
