Please take him!

But Cooper is exactly what they need.

-A manager who can't teach his players how to keep defensive shape when off the ball.
- A manager who is not able to develop the young and talented players and who actually make established players worse (Roberts, Celina, Grimes...)
- A manager who doesn't know how to break stubborn defences and how to counter counter-attacks.
- A manager who allows his players to hoof it when there is a passing option.
- A manager who can't get his team run more than 20 minutes per game.

I think they need a proven manager who is capable of guiding teams to promotion, to match their ambitions as a club right now.

That is exactly what WE needed when we appointed Cooper!! The article says that he wouldn't be a good fit at Bristol right now because he needs a few years more experience. Again, EXACTLY our situation when we gave him the job but even more pertinent for us given that we'd just spent several seasons in the Premier League.

West Brom went for it with a good, experienced manager and will be rewarded when they get promotion. Our chicken-hearted, asset stripping owners, flogged our best players and went cheap. Cooper and the team we've got is the result. Okay, there were financial considerations but what are owners for? They promised investment in the team and didn't put a cent of their OWN money into it.

Would be quite happy if we appointed Jokanovic or Hughton and I'd pay Bristol to take Cooper.

I think a lot would depend on how much they'd want to take him off our hands .I suppose we could have a fans bucket collection. My donation is ready and waiting.

The only reason I can think of is Cooper gives them a chance at Brewster or Gallagher next season. Strange lateral move but I would not be surprised if Cooper takes it.
We have no guarantee of getting those players again next season .... so if we can jettison Cooper without spending a penny (perhaps even reaping a few pounds) then be done with it and him.

If we can get a good manager to replace him then we'll have the benefits of that person's connections with other clubs and technical directors. Clubs place the player on loan; kids go where they're told.
