I am only interested in good, direct, attacking football played consistently week in week out. That's something we haven't been able to do this season. It's a shame it took Martin almost two years to make some simple tweaks to his passing style of football.

Spurs ... is it a coincidence that their season has gone to shit since they stopped starting Ben Davies alongside Dier in defense. The culmination was the utter humiliation at the hands of Newcastle, where it has to be said that their starting LB in a back 4 was dismal throughout the first half. Without Ben beside him Dier is being shown up as the non-CB that he is.

Against United, based on the team sheet, they are now back to a 3+2 system, with Lenglet in what should be Ben's position.

Yes, I'm hearing he's already in according to Talk Sport. Last desperate throw of the dice it seems. There's not enough games left for him to make an impact. Look how Dyche is struggling at Everton and he's had quite a few games there now. If the team isn't good enough.......

Maybe BS is the savior plus rebound insurance for next season in case of relegation. At least he has 4 games left to get a measure of value and character for each player before determining who gets culled and replaced in the summer.

So it's Luton v Coventry in the play-off final. Quite frankly I don't rate either team and, imho, whoever wins will come crashing back down after the first season. I'm not being biased but I feel that Swans at their best leave them both for dead in terms of pure football. If only Martin's terrible tactics hadn't given so many teams a head start in beating us. Effectively it meant we beat ourselves and never were in with a good shout of the play-offs.

I hope that experienced people at the Liberty will give Martin a good fcuking talking to during the close season to try and ensure that we don't have a repeat next time around. Actually, if ex-Swan Ian Walsh was locked in a room with Martin for an hour, you can bet your arse we wouldn't see any more of the crass defending that cost us so dearly. Walsh was hyper critical of Martin's tactics in commentary, pulled no punches and told it exactly how it was. Don't think our Russell would fancy a one on one with Walshy one little bit.

Crazy game at Hillsborough tonight. Sheffield Wednesday have overturned a four-goal first leg deficit to beat Peterborough 4:0 at home turf (scored the fourth goal in 98th minute). Then they scored an own goal and were 1:0 down in extra time, but managed to equalize in 112th minute and finally win 5:3 on penalties. Crazy.

Watched bits of it along with Toon v Brighton and recorded the darts to watch later. How poor were Peterborough though? I've played with and against many players who were way better than anything I saw from them tonight and that's a fact!

The contract of Phil Jones at United ends in June. At 31, worth recruiting to had experience and strength to our back line.

11 mins of added time at Everton, they would have gone down instead of Leicester if Bournemouth could have found an equaliser !

Leicester, Leeds, Southampton, Middlesbrough, WBA, Watford, Norwich...
It's going to be extremely difficult to reach play-offs next season.

The 3 relegated clubs are going to be challenged by financial and personnel rightsizing. How they work through that will determine their ability to compete cohesively in the division .
