Olivier Ntcham

joins from Celtic with an infamous 2021. Loaned to Marseille against the wishes of Villas-Boas who didn’t want him. Boas complained to the board, got reamed out and suspended. ON played 4 games foe Marseile.

from 2017 to 2021, ON played 87 games for Celtic. A midfield player. No indication where he plays in midfield.

WTF do we have here.

"With Ntcham failing to perform this season and large spells of last term, who’s honestly going to buy him? Especially at a few million. You’ll do well to find a club willing to take that kind of risk."

Well ... we need some muscle and skill to join Grimes and Fulton in midfield. Let's see what he delivers. Would we consider him #10 material or just a solid midfield player in general.

A positive for ON: he was signed and used effectively by Rogers at Celtic. It was when lesser managers arrived post Rogers that he struggled.

Informative read that, we have a whole new look and I have no idea how our new forwards are going to rate. I like having options. Piroe was definitely a good signing. Whittaker can achieve a lot this season.

Although we lost Roberts I think we've done quite well this window. We've been SCREAMING for a #10 and while Obafemi and Ntcham might not be traditional ones they are certainly players who can take us from midfield to attack better than anyone we've had since Sigurdsson. Htcham has pedigree and he'll be desperate to revitalize his career here so I'm expecting 100% effort for him to put himself in the shop window - fine by me if it gets us promoted.
