After meeting with Steve Cooper, Oli is making encouraging noises about the coming season. Not sure about the following though :unsure:

"I am buzzing to be back and I cannot wait to get the balls out and get some work done." Hope he does this in private cos it would surely take @Ladygargar 's attention away from his socks!!

Not for long I hope....
If he’s reasonable with is wage demands then he should be very productive at the Championship level. We either need to acquire another forward or hope that CBR steps up to lead the line. McB is very good but we had a tendency to wander and play too deep etc. I expect the Ayew Bros to be shipped out. We’ve lost Dan so we need another razor sharp cutting edge. An intriguing question is will Routs play much and where. He was a very effective #9 last season. And I like the look of him in that role.

According to the Daily Mirror today Sheffield United have renewed their interest in Oli. Whilst Oli has stated that he's happy enough at the Swans, apparently he is open to listening to what they have to say.

I see rumors Sheffield bid £10 million, Swansea wants £20 for Oli. This would be a terrible move for both. He will end up like Mawson, but not injured. Sheffield is going to struggle to stay up, Swansea would lose their only striker. Terrible move. I like Oli, he is great for the club. He is on Twitter supporting the club all day. Please don't sell him.

A view that's probably shared by thousands of fans, unfortunately a view that's like water off a ducks back to that pair of vultures in America. Irrespective of the players value to the squad, the 'Take the money and run' will always be applicable whilst they own us.

I fear they'll sell him for £15m and I've written before that selling Oli would be a huge blow. Oli is more than a tipical striker. He can also play as ATM like Michu, his work rate and link-up play is excellent and, above all, he is a good lad who loves Swansea.

The new stats for the Championship forwards/strikers efficency (conversion rate from shots on target) have been published. Last season Oli was the second-most effecient of all Championship strikers who scored more than 20 goals. Only Billy Sharp was more efficent. Oli missed 11 big chances but this is completly normal for strikers. Teemu Pukki missed 19. Later today I'll post complete stats.

Those stats certainly bound to increase interest in him.
