When has Morris last played regular football? November? He can be a great sub off the bench, get that pace in there to nick a goal. What a win and you can tell what it meant to the team. Ayew and Woody celebrating. Hourihane is doing exactly what we needed. Unbelievable strikes from him.

The way we clear the ball worries me. We regain possession around the box and then give it away with a poor pass and first touch.

If Brentford Norwich and Swans go up there is going to be some real quality in the Premier. I'd love to see this match in the Prem next season.

Hope this good form continues Wednesday against City.
Think this game will be looked at more from a entertainment view, will be a great experience for the squad, losing this one is no big deal, as usual the ref will probably lean towards the Prem. side, but win or lose it's a little irrelevant compared to tonights game. Of course a win would be great as compensation for our last result we were blatantly robbed of against them.
Hope this good form continues Wednesday against City.

Sound display and a really great 3 points but a little peed off that we allowed them so much possession in the second half. Okay, I know Norwich had to push but they had chances that they failed to convert - not that they were clear cut mind. I sometimes wish that our defenders, as excellent as they are, would sometimes just get their boot under the ball instead of faffing about looking for a pass in and around our box. Norwich got a couple of half chances from our failure to boot it. There's a time to play football and there's a time to hoof it away out of danger; even the top Premier League clubs do that to relieve pressure when it's called for. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 40-60 SHOTS: 9-13 OT: 4-1 CORNERS: 4-2 FOULS: 13-12 GOALS: 2-0

Sodding referee did us again. We had at least one clear, indisputable penalty shout for the foul on Morris but, as usual, we got fuck all from the officials. Annoying because goal difference could prove vital at the end of the season and a converted penalty would have meant we would have been a goal better off against the rest and two better off against Norwich. Ce la vie but I HATE being cheated.

Two penalty shouts were denied back to back - Roberts then Morris. It would have given @IanABS94 bum some relief ... I can hear it still squeaking.

I couldn't have imagined a more accomplished performance heading into the City game. We're going to have to stop sloppiness coughing up the ball cheaply in our half or anywhere else for that matter. But I'm betting on our defense to take us into extra time.

To be fair, that's the pints i've had not the match...anymore. :)

I agree with Ivor, it would've been nice to have had more of the ball in the 2nd half but I don't mind not having it if the opponent is going to absolutely nothing with it like Norwich did tonight. I absolutely agree though that when we did get the ball we could've done a bit better with it. I thought we had quite a few chances to spring on the counterattack in the last 15 minutes or so but decided not to.

I also don't think we'll see a more clear penalty not given for God knows why in quite some time. Roberts was bundled over but sometimes those don't get given but Morris getting tripped. How on Earth is that not a penalty? I don't understand that decision one bit and it's frustrating as I thought that would've given Morris a good boost to settling in. Did anyone else see Morris have his hands on his knees roughly 10 minutes after coming on? I know the MLS has been off for a while but he seemed to be very off the pace; hopefully some gym work see's that fixed soon as he does look rapid even though a little bulky.

Able to watch the entire match back and I know I always say it but Fulton is criminally underrated. He was superb today and as I've said millions of times before, he's one of the few players in this squad that has the ability to play the "Swansea Way". He was all over the pitch today with physicality and touches of class. His pass to Horry for the 2nd goal was perfection. Control of the ball and good passing at the same moment. He allows Horry and Grimes to be more creative in the midfield instead of having them worry about covering the defence.

Pretty obvious. He was dogging it. Clearly not anywhere near match fit. He’s got a deceptive turn of pace about him, but three sprints and he’s fucked. Comparing him to Houri and Grimes in the last minute of overtime was stark ... comparatively those guys looked fresh and still able to put in a sprint.

now I understand Andy Pandy’s comment in the Norwich pregame interview when asked about the new signings and Arriola And his pace in particular, he quipped about they’ll have to be because that’s the way we play. My impression at the time was that that wasn’t particularly welcoming, but after seeing Morris today I see what might have led to that attitude and statement. Clearly Arriola and Morris look good on paper but aren’t yet fit enough to fart.

Have to say that I would prefer Norwich to win promotion rather than Brentford. My reason? Their respective managers is why. I find the Brentford manager arrogant and lippy whilst Daniel Farke is a very good manager but he is modest and unassuming with it. Despite his obvious disappointment about his loss to us, he was quick to praise our effort and players.

I can't stand arseholes but Farke most definitely isn't one of them and I have a lot of time for him. Be nice to see the good guys win for a change (so long as it isn't against us!!) :ROFLMAO:
