Pundits all agree it was a definite pen. And I agree with them. Keeper missed a cross and planted two fists on the head of the Newport striker. Nailed on decision with VAR.

Are referees biased arseholes or pure bred idiots? Take your pick. I've often said before that I have no respect for them whatsoever. The decisions today were an utter disgrace and, imo, can only be attributed to sheer incompetence....... or something more sinister. Whatever your preference about VAR it does at least bring a semblance of fair play to the game and would have overturned that clown's decisions today. Newport should be going up not Morecambe.

Two weak and bad decisions over the weekend soured the chances of the Welsh clubs. There’s no excuse at Wembley stadium, not to have VAR involved. The tech is present. It just needs manpower to operate it and be the remote official.

That was an awful way to lose. I wanted to see Newport go up. They thought they lost their chances when we recalled Cooper.
