After looking at the goal a few times can somebody please tell me where Manning thought he was going when Boro worked the ball out from their left side across their backs before the through ball. Naughton ran away from the ball carrier trying to cover a player running through the center. Williams was running back not sprinting. Hamer rooted barely two yards off his line
I took several careful looks but, although it was minimal, imo there was definite contact that entitled Paterson to go down. I've seen plenty similar awarded. That said, Paterson's touch was bad and taking him away from goal, which might have influenced the referee. Nonetheless, contact is contact and I think it should have been a pen. Have to say that we looked pretty decent in those brief highlights.
