Swansea City is delighted to announce a new naming rights partnership that will see the club’s home become the Swansea.com Stadium with immediate effect.

Swansea.com is the new naming rights partner for the stadium. Not sure when this will kick-in but we're going local across the board it appears with sponsorship.

Naming rights is one thing ... but there should be a name for the stadium that stands in perpetuity whether there is a sponsor or not.

I think the name "The Liberty" is going to stick and is going to take a lot of marketing effort and money to move that name out of people's minds and move the new name in.

As far as I am concerned they could call the stadium "The Vetch" and I'd be happy, and then the sponsor could plaster "Swansea.com" all over it like a swarm of bumper stickers.

When the Dragon Hotel in Swansea was called something else we still called it the Dragon. Now it has reverted to that name. In Mumbles it was always the Tivoli, opposite Joe’s, long after the last film was screened.
I still catch myself saying “The Vetch” so why not?

I was always gutted that it wasn't called the White Rock Stadium. Has a certain ring to it does that especially as we play in white.

I like that they went local. They're wisely avoiding selling the rights to a gambling company. A lot of people saying they sold too low and I have to agree.
