Cooper has failed to rotate sufficiently during this hectic spell, changes due to injury , but few to freshen the team, same attack , midfield, and wing backs for most games, Bidwell and Connor hardly rested, Ayew and Lowe permanent fixtures ,, no wonder we had lead leg players out there.
If radical changes are not made against Barnsley we can expect more of the same , players need to maintain optimum fitness not maximum stress . No good putting out your best 11 if they are too fucked to run !
Exactly. Maybe, if he himself took his hands out of his pockets and showed even a little enthusiasm for his team instead of being rooted to the spot with that deadpan look on his face. The man doesn't know the meaning of the word fatigue as he's never been there himself at this level. What a comparison to standing on the training ground, hands in pockets, to Tate saying the best player on the training ground was Laudrup.

I see you @Jackflash and @Yankee_Jack are back at it laying the blame for everything bad at the feet of Cooper and never allowing any credit to him. Yes, he's an inexperienced manager at this level and still learning, yes he has the personality of a sloth and plays pocket billiards through most of a game, BUT it was the players who didn't show up at Derby not the manager. Even when he recognised his mistake in formation from the first half and made an appropriate tactical change at the half in response to Derby's set up (and brought on three sets of fresh legs @The Blobster ) the players still didn't muster a single shot on target. No doubt in my mind who to 'blame' here, and it wasn't Cooper. I'm perfectly willing to blame Cooper for lots (and have done in the past), but it gets tiresome to hear you two always blame him and never give him credit (who was it who set us up so well to defeat Cardiff?). How come we made the playoffs last season and are in playoff positions this season even when the owners refuse to spend any money if we don't have a manager who at least does some good things? Oh yes, I remember, it's all Andre Ayew and the faint remnants of Michael Laudrup. Sorry for this rant but I had to truly get it out of my system. Now I'll get my coat and leave it be.

He's paid to put a best fit purposeful motivated and organized team on the field. He knows the players by now or should. He should be able to tell when a player is "off" and not ready. If the opposition is looking like they have our number then it's his job to recognize, react and adjust.

I'm not blaming Andy Pandy for being what he is. He is, sadly, what he is. But we deserve better.

@Victoria Swan, when I see him actually attempting to instruct players from the side line, i may think differently, ie. Even pointing out a player that needs marking from a throw in, all these things are oblivious to him. Lets not believe mistakes about players being shouted at by managers, it sends them one signal, their position is under threat. Who set us up so well to beat Cardiff ? I've supported the Swans for over 65 years and never win or lose can i recall any player not giving their 100% against them, it's always been a self motivating venue. If as you say it was Coopers doing what happened to his magic in the next game against Derby, the worse performance I've witnessed this season. Yet he stood their expressionless, really as if he couldn't care less. When I can see evidence that he's the one pulling the strings I'll change my opinion of him. Until then I'm still of the opinion he's being carried by his training staff, He received all the rewards for his youths successes, but lets not forget these youngsters were trained by professionals at their own clubs, trained strikers, wingers, defenders, etc.
