That's it. Two points thrown away because the lazy sods couldn't be bothered to earn their money. Martin often praises his team for their bravery and attitude; well I reckon that collectively they've had a character bypass. When I was in business if any of my staff adopted that sort of approach to their work, I'd boot their lazy arses out the door. And I did. Waste the other guy's dime, not mine.

Not a good result if they think they can make the playoffs still. But no losses 4 wins and 2 draws in the last 6 matches. This current squad could make the playoffs, and with a few additions get automatic promotion. It's up to our current owners over the summer. Decide if they want to go up to the Prem or languish down in League One.

Our useless owners will do as they've always done; put their pockets before any consideration for the club. In my book they are lying shysters.

I want to hope that someone in their circle tells them how the pyramid works. If they want to turn a profit or sell the club then they should get Premier League TV money. You can either sell off all your players and wind up League One, good luck selling the club for a profit then. Or reach the top prize and have plenty of cash for sustainability while increasing the value of the club. They would be making a mistake selling Piroe but they likely will. I wish they would sell the club to someone who wants to win.

We all know that makes sense but all they're interested in is making a fast buck. Like I said, lying shysters.

Some stats from a shameful performance with Russell bleating about lessons learned. How about this one, Mr Russell? Get your players to at least put in some effort to justify their inflated salaries. Give them a compass so they know that the opposing net isn't located on either touchline, or behind them, and get them to pass the ball forward. Oh, and it would help if they occasionally broke out of the gentle trot they seem so in love with.

POSSESSION: 74-26 SHOTS: 17-19 OT: 7-4 CORNERS: 6-8 FOULS: 13-11 GOALS: 1-1

I would love to hear the explanation about how a team that has only 26% of the ball can manage two more shots than our pathetic lot who had 74%. What are we doing with all that possession? Sweet FA it seems!! As Ian Walsh noted today, we retain possession for possession's sake. We do fuck all with it for so much of the time. We rack up our stats by playing the ball to each other in our third whilst the opposition catch their breath, get organised and wait to pounce on the inevitable mistake when it occurs. That is NOT possession football. At least not how it should be played.

So, Russell Martin, if you want to know how to do it properly, I suggest you get recordings of how Messrs. Martinez, Rodgers and Laudrup did it and copy them. You might then get some consistent results. That's providing your players learn to move and run, of course.

I partially agree with this as I want to be entertained but with winning football. I understand that we obviously can't win all the time but I would happily accept the sort of results we got under Rodgers and Laudrup where we won no more than our share but it was usually, not always, good to watch. However, I want this to be in the Premier League where our reputation for attractive football gained world-wide acclaim.

I would happily settle for mid-table and the occasional good cup run along with the odd top six scalp as we did when we beat the likes of both Manchester clubs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea etc. Ah, the good old days before the asset strippers discovered us and Jenkins, Morgan et al sold our soul for their 30 pieces of silver. May they rot in Hell!!
