Joe Rodon to Spurs

You are probably wondering why I would play Wilson as ATM when he has mostly played as a right winger during his career. Here is why (an excellent analysis of Harry Wilson's style of play and a comparison with Pablo Hernandez whom Bielsa transformed from a winger to a playmaker):

Pablo was best for us more central with Routs and Dyer playing as the wingers. But let's give Bielsa the credit, aye.

We should give Bielsa a lot of credit. Since Bielsa took over Pablo has played the best football ever. I remember how Pablo always had a sad expression on his face and how often he was injured when he played for us. And now, you can see he is full of confidence, he has become a warrior, and he is physically fit.

Really getting pissed off with Levy and his persistence in offering peanuts for Rodon. I accept that he's a hard negotiator doing his best for Spurs but NOT at our expense!! I see the likes of Norwich CB Godfrey going for £27.5 million, whilst Spurs offer us £20 million LESS for arguably a better player with international experience. If I was dealing with Levy, quite frankly I'd tell him to piss off and get real. We are NOT in business to provide him with a quality player at pound-shop prices.

Rodon's value can only increase and Brendan Rodgers has already stated that he'd be looking to make an offer in the January window. If Joe maintains his present form, we could be looking at a bidding war at a time notorious for inflated prices. What price then? £25 million? £30 million? If Maguire was/is worth £80 million, yes, we could get that. But do our milk sop greedy owners have the patience to wait until then? I doubt it. They see the money and want to grab it and run like thieves in the night.

In my opinion, proper owners would fund any short term loss for the good of the club. But our lot seem intent only on continuing to bleed the club dry irrespective of the damage it does to us. How in God's name they ever passed the 'fit and proper' test is beyond me and I can't wait to see the day dawn when we are done with them. I just hope we have a club left to support when that glorious day arrives.

At United, Maguire is being found out. He's not a lynch pin of a CB in their defense that is being shown up time and time again. Against Demark, for the short time he was on the field, he was reported to be "shambolic" [BBC].

Since the dodgy game against England, Rodon has looked a lot better against Ireland and Bulgaria. He's starting to find his legs at that level.

In fairness to Rodon, our makeshift and fragile midfield allowed England to repeatedly get at the Welsh defence. Had we possessed any semblance of quality there our defenders wouldn't have come under the constant pressure they did. I wonder how Maguire would have fared in Rodon's place?

We are going to drop MGW for HW? I don't think Andy Pandy has the balls for that?

Looks like Rodon deal will be done and we are looking at bringing in a 30 year old centre half from Wolves ( Bennett ) don't know much about him other than we tried to sign him in 2012, apparently he is keen to join us.
Also looking at signing a left back from QPR

Don't get too excited by this Blobby, had word this morning Cooper is looking at Borini, pretty sure it's the footballer.

Looks like we've been outbid by Cardiff for Wilson who's getting a medical there this afternoon. Just about sums up our owners doesn't it? Remember when we all used to chuckle at Cardiff's owners back in the day? But at least they put their hands in their pockets for their club from time to time. And our tosspots? Forget it it, Buddy. "Ask not what we can do for you; what can you do for us?" Sink without trace is the answer, when they've finished bleeding us dry.:mad::mad:

PS: If we are selling Rodon, how come we aren't able to stump up the cash to bring in Wilson? I guess we all know the answer. I can hear the rubbing of investors' greedy palms from here.

DEADLINE DAY LATEST..
Apparently we have told Spurs if they want Rodon they must fork out £18 mill.
Kasey Palmer is in Swansea undergoing a medical .
One for @Borini
Swans are in talks with Fabio Borini for a possible return to the Liberty. He is a free agent so this does not have to be completed today.
Borini and Sinclair were killers together up front,.......if only.

Kasey Palmer loan confirmed.
Reports that fee has been agreed for Rodon and Ryan Bennett in fairwood for medical .
Its gone 5 so window closed.
Just have to wait now for confirmation of finalised deals , except for Borini talks as he is a free agent and can sign at any time.
