At last it seems we are finding some consistency probably too late for this season but our recent form augurs well for next season - particularly if Martin can recruit some half decent quality and we can hang onto the likes of Piroe, Oba and a few others. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 32-68 SHOTS: 13-15 OT: 2-5 CORNERS: 10-5 FOULS: 9-5 GOALS: 0-1

Remember that Millwall harbour outside hopes of a play-off position and we deservedly beat them on their own patch missing one of our key players in Downes. That makes it 10 points from the last 4 games and we're beginning to tighten up at the back. If only the owners would back us for next season.......
They need to, they want to finance everything with the sale of players. You have to spend if you want the big prize.

Read many reports today about the game and Nauts got some great write-ups along with MOM in some cases. What really pleased me though, were the good things Russell Martin had to say about Jay Fulton, whom he said had his best ever game for him. This is great news. I know that most of us on here rate Jay and it is my hope that he'll get more chances to show what he can do. We already know but he needs to convince RM. If he stays for next season, it will almost be like having a new quality addition to the squad without a transfer fee. Rock on, Jay, we want you here with us.

Fulton had a polish, efficiency and effectiveness last night that was - as we all know - part of who he is. Naughton also stood out technically as a player with prem qualities - very polished performance from him.

Piroe is demonstrating that he has greater depth and breadth than just being a #9. He has to hone his defensive skills, but against Millwall and Cardiff that "cross" over the top for Obafemi is a lethal weapon .... if only Obafemi could just time his arrival better and attack them with a plan - at this point he's a tad late, seems surprised that he's gotten the opportunity, and is flailing instead of deliberate with the ball.

Couple of very dodgy moments mind. Had Millwall strikers found their shooting boots it could well have been a different result. Ben has to take care with the ball down the pitch because when he loses it, he hasn't got the pace to get back. Nevertheless, every team needs a little luck and our overall performance merited the win.
