...then whoever WBA don't appoint could be in the running for the Swansea job. Here's the top five next WBA manager odds atm:

Taking Williams and Martin out of it, what do you all think about the others for Swansea?

Heitinga is on Arne Slot's staff at Liverpool but hasn't held a full-time manager post before (interim at West Ham briefly).

Schumacher did very well for Plymouth but struggled at Stoke.

Eustace interviewed for Swansea before and if I remember rightly wanted to take it but turned it down because his wife didn't want to relocate.

Any takers from this selection?

If Williams goes then we have a fundamental challenge. We have 2 FBs playing in roles that are unique to us in the Championship. A new coach is not going to continue with this ... so something we have seemed to be on track with gets immediately dismantled.

To squeeze the most juice out of this season, the only coach that would understand what we are doing and the players involved and wouldn't take a month to figure it all out is ..... Sheehan. Assuming that all the Williams' peeps are let go or jump ship to WBA, Sheehan is the Club's retained coach and he would immediately assume team management. At this point, he should be allowed to continue to the end of the season. The Club could then take a more considered approach to finding a replacement, and certainly this would include considering Sheehan if he performs well, but by hiring at the end of the season we don't have to settle for a current free agent or bail a manager out of another club.

I 00% expect Sheehan to be given the interim post to the end of the season myself, but I would not be surprised if Schumacher was approached.

No. I haven't watched Birmingham but it seems they play good football. I would take the former Klopp's assistant who was recently sacked at Red Bull Salzburg or Jimmy Thelin wheN he gets sacked at Aberdeen or Marcelino if he is available. Any manager who plays high pressing attacking football and who doesn't allow his players to pass the ball back when they enter the opposition third.
