Gutless Swans v. Cardiff Hoofing Specialists

Finally. After 108 years this will be the first league double in the South Wales derby. The last time the Bluebirds Losers were lucky to beat the Mighty Swans was 7 years ago. I repeat, 7 years ago. And here is the match report from that game:

"Swansea manager Laudrup, who stayed in his seat throughout as opposite number Mackay spent 90 minutes cajoling his players from the technical area, will be bitterly disappointed at his team's failure to transform spells of superiority into anything resembling serious pressure.
Swansea were more at ease in possession early on and should have taken the lead when Michu demonstrated superb technique to bring Shelvey's right wing cross under control to create space, only to shoot over the top.
Cardiff, in contrast, struggled to impose themselves but improved markedly as the half went on. They raised the hopes of their supporters when Bellamy's free-kick glanced off Leon Britton but was just off target."

Here is what the Bluebirds Losers fans said after that game:

"We were painful to watch in the first half by playing hopeless long balls toward Odemwingie and not being able to string more than 2 passes together.
In the seconde half Malky got his tactics right. Also glad to see Shelvey (a pantomime villain) leave the post, block Vorm, and allow Caulker's header to go in."

Lol. Great tactics? They needed Shelvey to leave the post and block Vorm so they could score? Delluded idiots.

This season the Bluebirds Losers were totally outplayed and humiliated at their own sorry home turf. Have a laugh and enjoy the full match replay:

Or you can watch a shorter version here:

The Bluebirds Losers are currently 14 points behind the Mighty Swans in the league table, and we have a game in hand. On Saturday it will be 17 points and the final nail in the Bluebirds Losers coffin when it comes to their promotion hopes. Lol. Promotion hopes? 😂😂😂

A little bit more about their expected 'tactics':

Not all of them are stupid:

And finally the one who is not suffering from a delusional disorder:

First name on the team sheet must be Fulton, Cabango must return and Whittaker should get his first start instead of Lowe who has been dire lately .
We've been shit recently but we can surely beat the Scum at home , Lets hope Guhei is fit and Bennett remembers how to play .
Fresh legs required , and a desire to create Welsh football history . This is not the time for Cooper to play his favourites he must make changes and freshen up the team .
My team
Hamer
Roberts, Bidwell
Cabango, Bennett , Guhei ,
Grimes, Fulton, Dhanda ,
Ayew , Whitaker.

So let me hear, what is your preferred starting XI? Here is mine.

Shake it baby. A total surprise, but I have my reasons.

Are you a mind reader? I omitted Guehi because I don't know whether he will be fit or not. And I would bench Bennett, and play Freeman. But, apart from the two-centre backs we have the same line-up (y)

It appears that Bennett has been bolstered by having Guehi and Cabango either side. Without them, he has been exposed. He is not the strong pillar that is needed in his position. He doesn’t track players well and is on the hoof-it side of technical. There was a reason Wolves didn’t rate him, and now it’s coming to light.

By dropping Bidwell, Andy Pandy has dropped our assist leader to the bench and made our left side vulnerable. With Bidwell, we predominantly assist from the left and score from the right. Without Bidwell, Roberts has not been as big a threat coming in from the right side.

Is Bidwell approaching an appearance bonus? I see no logical reason for dropping him. He has been one of the league’s top performers the left FB/WB role.

@Yankee_Jack Bidwell has also been excellent in defence. Blocking shots and crosses, and closing down opposition wingers and wing-backs.
For the majority of his career Manning has been a midfielder, not a wing-back. And I think Guehi has played better with Bidwell than with Manning at his side.

Absolutely CJ. on times Manning gives the impression he's playing out of position, also as you say, Guehi & Bidwell compliment each other far more.

Whittaker should start he has been impressive in every appearance and has shown touches of class.

I don't see the point of having a senior international in Cabango sitting on the bench. If he's fit he has to start. I think @Crojacks' back 3 makes sense if Freeman is up to the task. Naughton is a good substitute for Freeman but on the alternate side meaning Lati starts again on the left.

Fulton has to be on the field. Smith / Dhanda - one or the other is fine by me. I don't see the value in Hourihane - sorry but I don't - he came in like a firework but at this point he's more like a damp squib.

Ben has just signed a new contract. Congratulations.

Ben is ranked as number 25 of all 20 years old foodball players in these leagues:

Just to mention some of the players (20 years old) who are ahead of him:

Erling Haaland, Borrusia Dortmund
Jadon Sancho, Borrusia Dortmund
Alphonso Davies, Bayern Munich
Phil Phoden, Manchester City
Ozan Kabak, Liverpool
Maxence Lacroix, Wolsfburg
Wesley Fofana, Leicester
Mitchel Bakker, Paris Saint Germaine
Loic Bade, Lens
Ethan Ampadu, Chelsea, on loan at Sheffield United

At this point, we also have a Cooper who is a defender. I think I'd liked to see him given a start. He comes from our own academy and so well schooled. Would make as good a combination with Cabango as Bennett or Lati or Guehi for that matter.

We need someone on their game and experienced to deal with Kieffer Moore who will be a big threat - literally. I've been very impressed with him. He leads the line well, works hard and, not only is he excellent in the air, he's mobile with decent control for a big man. Wish we'd signed him in fact: very good investment for £2 million, also now with useful international experience. Of course, asking our big-mouthed owners to cough up two million quid is like wishing for the moon. Small time charlatans in my opinion.

If Ben played for Graham Potter, I am sure his ranking would be even better. Passing accuracy is an important metric when it comes to rankings.

One more thing. You all know how much I rate players who pass the ball forwards rather than backwards or sideways. Ben is making most forward passes of all Swansea players. 48% of all his passes are forward passes.

A quiz for you. Who is the second best Swansea player when it comes to forward passes?

I am guessing Fulton or Dhanda, or perhaps Bidwell
