Piroe to Soton rumour gathering pace. Palace want Che Adams and if that happens it seems that Martin's first choice replacement is our guy. Soton won't be short of a bob or two given the money they've earned from transfers out, so I hope we demand, and get, top dollar for Piroe.

Martin's offer for Wood rumoured to be £10 million but there's a hefty sell-on clause in place to Boro. Leeds interested in Piroe and it seems likely he'll be off somewhere soon. Won't be a miss on his recent form.

Sky Sports saying that Leeds value Piroe at an 'initial' £8 million. But Leicester and Soton also still interested so we may have a bidding war that'll push up the price. Battle it out, lads. :)

I read today that Gylfi is close to signing a one year deal with Danish Superliga side Lyngby. He's now 33 years old but the thought occurred that he might fancy a return to the EFL if his fitness is up to scratch. Okay, he might be slower now but he was never quick anyway and I reckon his footballing brain would be as sharp as ever. He's vastly experienced and a talented player who could bring some creativity to our brain dead midfield and give our strikers some decent service for a change. A one year deal with an option for longer wouldn't cost us a fortune and we should be able to match whatever the offer is from Lyngby. Just a thought.......

I don't think he wants to go back to Britain. Lungby's manager Freyr Alexandersson is from Iceland and as far as I remember they have one player from Island as well. Both are probably good friends of Gylfi. If he signs for Lyngby, he will be in familiar surroundings. Lyngby is a small town 7 miles north of Copenhagen and a nice place to raise your children.

Welcome back Siggy
It'd be nice if we could welcome him back here. I'm sure he could still cut it at this level and his footballing brain is superior to anything we've got. And I'm pretty certain that Duff would learn something from him as well given Siggy's great experience at the highest level, which Duff doesn't have.
