Super volley from Neco and Fulham have 5
Tough to defend that. But I don't think Fisher is the future keeper of the Swans. Not for a fear years anyways. Get us an experienced keeper and this side could do something next season. They're improving, despite the score we've played well against a top side.

Nothing much to say. We were more than holding our own until the sending off. Manning let us and his team down with that reckless challenge and Andy Legg was adamant that it was a red card. Lessons MUST be learned from our errors (Fisher et al) but will they be? If we can address them then fix them, we could be a force next season. BUT with the average footballer being as thick as shit, it is easier said than done.

Very similar red card on Alexis Sanchez in the Championship League tonight. His studs were higher up, got to the ball first though. Both harsh but thats what referees are giving out now. I love Manning, he gives a good effort but now we're losing him for several matches.

I havent been following Peterborough much this season but Brenda has had a few good performances. I suppose he will be given a chance in the summer. Whittaker and Cullen are still options as well. The last few matches give me hope. We have to keep our starting squad together.

We came undone in the second half and that really needs to be sorted out. There's being beaten and capitulating. Fulham were not value for 5-1. Capitulation is a strong word, but surely we could have been stronger - mentally, physically - and not conceded the way we did. It's in times of stress and adversity that you get to clearly identity those that can and those that can't. Fisher is one who can't. Bennet is another - instead of being a leader in the second half he contributed to some of the disorder. And then there are others who shy away from a full workload - walking off the field at the end of the game not dripping blood, sweat, and tears and needing help to put one foot in front of the other is not acceptable. We blew an opportunity to get back into the game with a 1-2 score by sloppily conceding their third before we scored. We added another -4 to our goal difference - let's hope it's not material at the end of the season. Right now, with a GD of -11 we're higher in the table than other teams with a similar GD - nominally that suggests we're a tad lucky to be as high as we are.

All that said, we looked more than the part in the first half. We moved the ball with a purpose and a confidence. There was a fluency to the way that Naughton and Manning were roving forward while others dropped to cover. Smith is being something of a revelation as a wing back on either side - more than holding his own defensively and being clever going forward. Piroe is playing that #8 role better each game and working hard all across the field and is not too shabby defensively either. There was a lot to be enthusiastic about.

@CroJack called the score a day ago. There's nothing to say that Fulham needed the red card to score their goals, we could have offered an anemic second half at full strength ... Fulham had been coming back into the game from around minute 30.

I am not enthusiastic.

In the first half we passed the ball around in order to defend 0:0 result. We didn't create anything up front. No penetration. Obi's shot from 20 yards was good, but that was not a real chance.

It was just a matter of time before we lost concentration and went back to our old habits of giving the ball away and conceding soft goals. We are an utter shambles defensively and the red card can't be an excuse for the 5:1 drubbing.

Park the bus, hoof it, and use Obafemi's pace to counter-attack!!! Is it so difficult to understand? When you play with 10 men then 1 point is huge. No need to open up and play fancy passing football from the back.

P.S. I still don't think it was a red card, but our players have had too many of them lately, and I don't like it.
