Feeding the Robins

Only managed to watch the last 15 minutes of the match. One thing I noticed was that despite the announced 16k+ attendance, there large blocks of empty seats on the east side. For those that were at the match, what was it really like

The East stand was very quiet, except for ASBO corner by the away fans obviously. We liked the goals but there was a kind of hush, breaths held, when we were playing out of defence, having lost the ball in our danger area. When the robins “scored” my neighbour said “there’s still time for us to cock it up”. That says it all about the confidence of our local supporters.

Nathan Wood the latest player to voice his support of Martin in the media. I suppose they feel they have to. When they make mistakes, and I've lost count of how many they've made, Martin praises their 'bravery'. Another manager would probably kick their arses and double up on their training to eradicate those mistakes. Small wonder they're happy having easy-going Martin at the helm. That said, the lads are to be congratulated on a much improved display yesterday. It was good to see and well done to them. Some stats:

POSSESSION: 58-42 SHOTS: 17-6 OT: 6-3 CORNERS: 3-7 FOULS: 14-6 PASSES: 580-416 TOUCHES OPPO BOX: 31-15 GOALS: 2-0

Our foul count was over twice theirs which surprised me. Were we under that much pressure? As for Liam, he gets another unspectacular goal but it still counted. No team can be without a Cullen-type player and note that it was yet another one-touch finish, an undisputable mark of a natural striker. Russell Martin, please NOTE!!
