FA Cup Swansea v Notts Forest.

@Jackflash ... yesterday’s game was ridiculous in a number of ways that are difficult to resolve. Were Forest really that soft and us that clinical? Did Forest have a typical championship level performance? If so then we dispatched them with the nonchalant aplomb of a top premier league side. As you state, we have come to expect our defense to be impregnable, we have not been that clinical in and our goal scoring.

Grimes found a gear yesterday. With the arrival of Hurricane, Grimes has done the arithmetic and realized that 4 seasoned players into 3 positions doesn’t fit. About time, he put his best foot forward. Given decent service Cullen demonstrated that the tools in his locker are plenty good enough at this level.

In fact if it wasn’t for a moment of silliness by our most junior defender Forest would have been shut out.

I can only conclude that we’re ready for the final stretch of the season and bring on City. Let’s see what we’ve really got here.
Grimes wow. Was anyone watching and expecting him to take a shot from there? If I supported Forest I wouldn't be happy about a couple of goals but we we're winning even without them. They didn't really press us. Teams who press high seem to get the better of us. Some open scoring like that is what we need. Love to see that from him. I don't doubt Hourihane's arrival helped him bring it up a gear. Are we getting any fans in the stands by 10th February? A couple hundred at the least would be nice.

Let me add Cooper using his substitutions is a rare occurrence. Definitely enjoyed that. I want to see more of that, keep the bench players on their toes. I don't think Lowe was expecting to get on that soon but he played well and Ollie gets his 1st team goal off the bench.
