Cameron Toshack must have rogered Levien's wife or something similar. Really disappointed for him as I felt he deserved his chance with us. I don't see that Eustace can offer us too much as I've heard very little about his 'achievements' in the game....... if any. But he deserves the chance to win the respect of both players and fans, so I'll support him wholeheartedly as he goes about it. I hope for all our sakes that he succeeds and I know we'll all be watching closely to monitor his progress. His objective is simple - get us in the playoffs again but play decent football along the way. Cooper, in fairness, did the first bit but so much of the time our football was slow paced and dire. No more of that thank you.

Everywhere I look I'm reading that he got the job, so it looks a done deal. Like @Yankee_Jack I'm totally underwhelmed but it's only fair to give the guy a chance. But if he turns out like our last assistant manager appointee, we'll be all over him like a rash along with the Board for employing him. But you never know, he might surprise us all. Time will tell.

So he hasn't managed a squad of players since 7 matches for QPR in Apr/May 2019. His record in those 7 was 2W-1D-4L. I just had a feeling and looked to see if has managed against us. A 4-0 loss at Loftus Road, Nordfeldt was the keeper, Daniel James, Routledge, McBurnie and Dyer as our front 4. He outmanaged Graham Potter that day. Does anyone know what he's been doing the last 2 years?

Mark Warburton at QPR tries to play “our” kind of football with probably less resources than us so our new manager may have picked up a few ideas. Incidentally, he leaves QPR with a win over ManU under his belt, 4-2 yesterday.

I would have infinitely preferred a Potter-type coach ... technically sound with a few years of real experience, wounds, scars and lessons well learned.
Rogers, Sousa, Laudrup, Guidolin, Carvahal fell into that category.
Martínez, Clement, Monk, Andy Pandy did not. We know how they did ... Martínez being the only diamond in the rough.
Bobo was just a circus act from day one.
the fundamental difference between the two categories is that the first knows how to get the most out of the players they have. The latter category are still trying/struggling to get the most out of themselves.
Please let Useless be anything but. Another manager with training wheels is going to keep us from promotion.

HAS EUSTACE BACKED OUT???? Just had a text saying it's now a two horse race between Tate (please God NO) and Toshack. Tried to phone the texter to confirm but no reply and nothing on line. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is it a joke or what?

Just read an article on news now that says useless has turned us down and is staying at qpr.
Let's hope they have the sense to appoint Cam Toshack , Tate would not go down well , at least Tosh jnr knows the club , has worked with our youngsters and did a good job in his first managerial role .

Everybody that has a social media account related to the Club or that digital rag that took over the Post should post glowing accolades of CT and wouldn’t it be great if he came home to the Club.
Given the limited time frame and other constraints, in my opinion we have no other option other than Cameron Toshack. I just hope that Julian Winter shows at least a grain of common sense for once and gives him a try. ALAN TATE SHOULD BE A NON-STARTER and even Winter should understand that. Tate has no managerial track record of ANY description whilst Toshack has.
Cameron knows the club, did a first class job with the 'Unders' winning the Double with them and did a decent job in Cyprus as well. As Yankee has just pointed out, which I also have done previously, young Tosh will have dad's experienced voice in his ear to help and advise when he needs it. No bad thing.
Okay, there's no guarantees that CT will succeed; there's no guarantee with any manager but we know that he likes his team to play proper football and will coach them accordingly. He'll need time of course to educate the squad into his way of doing things but eventually that should benefit the club and the players a great deal. Tosh understands our legacy.
