Fulton's going to own that position. It'll free up Grimes and Allen to be more effective in midfield. Academy boys to the rescue.
Allen, Fulton and Grimes, when all on the field could rotate and move around midfield in much the same way that the 3 amigos did against WBA for Laudrup. They are all interchangeable, industrious and good ball winners and users.

Which is a shame. We should really change our formation to 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-3. Then we would be able to have both Grimes, Fulton and Allen on the pitch at the same time, with Oli Cooper, Olivier Ntcham and Dan Williams as subs. Up front Piroe & Obi + one of Paterson, Congreve and Cullen in a narrow front three. Attacking full-backs, Manning, Sorinola & Naughton pushing up and delivering crosses.

Martin has been forced to use Jay as Flynn has been sold and Joe Allen is not yet fit .
