Dinner with LadyGG

Not much to post until the Euros start, so some general chat to see us through. On Sunday I watched Citeh claim the title along with @Ladygargar and family. We were later joined by her two house guests over from Dallas who are part of the Stateside Jacks, now known as the Global Jacks apparently. After the game we sat down to one of LadyGG's delicious meals which was roast lamb and mint sauce, roast potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, peas, swede, honey roasted parsnips and carrots, green beans and Yorkshire pudding. Wine was a very tasty Black Pig Shiraz by Maclaren Vale. The meal was fantastic and I had no room for a dessert of rhubarb and apple crumble with custard.

Always great to see LGG and her lovely family and I left with a doggie bag of a dozen eggs from her hens and two good portions of cawl, one of which I had for dinner this evening. My thanks to her for a really good time and she sends her best wishes to you all.

Watched Man Utd and Liverpool with LadyGG and clan with dinner afterwards of scrummy roast beef, roast potatoes, mashed sweet potato, honey roasted parsnips and carrots, 'soaky' peas, cabbage, yorkies all with proper gravy. Wine was a delicious La Novena granacha that I supplied. I had a great time as always and, as always, left with 3 big portions of beef dinner and a dozen eggs.

I showed her the post from @jackodiamonds regarding his recent visit to the clubs mentioned above and some historical posts with the detailed data analysis that @CroJack produces. She was impressed by it all and sends her best wishes to everyone here.

Went for dinner again last Sunday with LadyGG and family and ploughed my way through roast lamb with mint jelly, roast potatoes, sweet potato mash, swede, peas, cabbage, honey roasted parsnips and carrots with proper gravy. Everything she cooks tastes fabulous but her cabbage is particularly so. I asked her how she made such a humble veg taste so good and she told me that she just boils the buggery out of it!

Anyway, the main reason I'm posting this is that, as always, she asked me to pass her kindest regards to everyone on the forum. I've now done so.

Forgot to mention above that, as usual, I never leave empty handed. This time I had four portions of cawl and two of cottage pie all nicely frozen in take-away containers. Just need to defrost for a quick, tasty home-cooked meal. 🍲😋
