Deepdale , yet another midweek marathon tripfor the jack army .

The Blobster

Prediction Champ
Preston on a wet and windy Wednesday night (7.45 pm kick off ) , Preston riding high in the table , will we get our first win over a team above us in the table ? We are at a stage in the season where draws or narrow defeats will not help us in our quest for a top 6 berth .
It's time for Sheehan to take the handcuffs off and play attacking rather than negative football with more efforts on goal and a bigger number of players pushing into the opposition box , yes it will leave us open to counter attacks but they can be defended . Sheehan and the team need to contain play much higher up the pitch and stop the walking football that has become all to prevalent. Players need to drive forward carrying the ball , we play too many over the top balls for wide men who can't place a cross pass the first defender .
Too all the Jack's travelling to Deepdale I wish you a safe journey and look forward to hearing you loud and proud .

@The Blobster ... to your idea ... regardless of whether we play Vip or Idah or Wales or Cullen up top, we need to drop Eom and Ronald to the bench and play Inoussa and Widell. This would be in a 3+2 format. Eom/Ronald lack the quality, consistency and attacking drive. Whereas Inoussa, Widell and now with Key as a true RWB, with space in front of him, are all players relishing a 1v1 against a defender.

Depending on the #9 the service would need to differ, but with Eom/Ronald there is little to no service of any type and that's the problem

Whatever the line-up this will be a tough test. I expect us to lose and would be delighted with a draw. But I saw encouraging signs against Charlton, who are above us in the table and we could well have won. If we can replicate that display in harness with more clinical finishing, we might even snatch 3 points.

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Ben Cabango (captain), Kaelan Casey, Cameron Burgess; Josh Key, Goncalo Franco, Ethan Galbraith, Josh Tymon; Melker Widell, Liam Cullen, Adam Idah.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Jay Fulton, Malick Yalcouye, Zan Vipotnik, Jisung Eom, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Manuel Benson, Ricardo Santos, Ronald.

3+2 with a new twist.

Widell and Cullen both start. Good news is that Vipotnik is fit enough to be on the bench. Wales steps back to the stands.

No Inoussa anywhere - injured.

Sheehan seems to like this format. So do I, especially without wingers to get in the way of Tymon and Key. Effectively we have 4 in midfield all on inside channels, two deeper and two supporting the #9.

I'm looking forward to seeing Key's proper winger play on the right.

Is it just me or does there seem to be zero heat on Sheehan from the board?
I'm sure it's there, they don't have to because the fans and media are saying it. I'm sure our new owners want to protect their investment. We have seen brief moments of quality forward passing, it's not enough. They need to play like that for 90.
