Darts with Blobs

We are going to play at the Cocket Inn every first Monday of the month , if you would like to join us on March 6th you will be very welcome and a fun night out is guaranteed.
 
Another good evening with Blobs and enjoyed the darts as well as his company. I was slightly better tonight but that's because I enjoyed a lot of luck to go with my usual crap! :D Being a much better player Blobs has the handicap of having to start with a double, whereas I go straight off and sometimes even my low scores accumulate to give me a decent lead in the game and makes it more of a challenge for my lofty opponent. It's all very low key and really enjoyable so, if anyone would like to join us, you'll be more than welcome.
 
Even with a double to start handicap some of my throws were OK, one starting throw was 132 ( double 11, and two treble tops , but some of the games I needed 3 or 4 goes at the double before I could start , in one of those games that came down to a close finish Ivor had left himself 50 and took out the bullseye ! Great darts and a good evening again , thanks mate .
 
Forgot to mention that the time before last, the landlord had laid on a curry for the pool team who were playing a league match. There was lots of it in a large container, so Blobs and I were invited to dig in. :D We duly did so and helped ourselves to a generous plateful of chicken curry and rice. Very tasty too!!
 
Good evening with Blobs at the Cockett Inn again last night. Met a couple of other guys as well that we threw some darts with. Enjoyable night and Blobs was his usual good company.
 
Great night again with Blobs and really enjoyed. Be nice if some new faces shared a fun evening with us. It's not serious and very laid back but you need a relaxed attitude about swearing because I tend to do a lot of it when my darts go astray....... which is OFTEN!! :LOL:
 
You weren't the only one swearing last night , though your darts are improving, if only you could get them to stay on the board !
 
Darts again this evening and I have to say it's probably the worst I ever played in my life!! I still enjoyed it though and Blobs was his usual great company. Just sorry I couldn't give him more of a game. Fair play to the pub. The kitchen had closed but I needed food as A) I'm diabetic and B) I was feeling peckish but they managed to rustle up a plate of sausage and chips for me; far too many chips actually so Blobs helped me out. It was good to get out for a change and I really enjoyed. Even with my crap darts! :LOL: Anyone who wants a friendly relaxed evening is welcome to join us.

Enjoyed another game with Blobs tonight. I was my usual crap self and got trounced but we had a couple of games of pool for the first time and at least I managed to edge those. Very enjoyable time and it would be good to have some of you join us. Pub was empty tonight, so we had the place to ourselves. Pleased about that really as there was no one to witness how bad my darts were. :) Thanks for your great company, Blobs.
 
I enjoyed our evening as well . We will have to find a different handicap for me as I kept hitting my double start first dart ( 😂). Your darts are improving though , if you played more often you would see a rapid improvement. Must say that my finishing was good last night as well .
Enjoyed the games of pool , made for a nice change .
i haven't played pool for about 20 years but I played some decent pots and didn't disgrace myself .
If anyone would like to join us for an evening of relaxed company and competition we are in The Cocket Inn on the second Monday of the month .

Change of venue tonight at The Dunvant, a really nicely appointed pub with great facilities. Enjoyed the night as usual and the chicken katsu curry that Blobs treated me to was seriously tasty as he promised. Met two nice guys there as well, Swans supporters of course. Thanks, Blobs, great company as always.
