I don't understand the last Unsuccessful Touches or the Dispossessed charts. What is being measured? Why would higher be better?

Per X minutes?

Less minutes per one unsuccessful touch (poor ball control) is bad. More minutes is better. The same for dispossessed charts.

Grimes gets dispossessed roughly every 70 minutes, and Downes every 200 minutes, which means Downes is better at fending off the opponent when he has the ball.

Downes makes an unsuccessful touch every 45 minutes, and Grimes every 145 minutes, which means Grimes is better at recieving passes.

Conclusion
1. Laird, Ntcham, Paterson, Cabango, Bidwell and Grimes have to play if we want creativity.

2. Paterson, Piroe and Ntcham have to play if we want to score goals.

3. Grimes should be releasing the ball earlier than he does.

4. Our players shouldn't be passing the ball to Downes and Latibeaudiere when they are under pressure.

5. Bennett, Laird, Manning, Naughton and Bidwell are our most successful tacklers. Bennett, Laird and Manning's tackle success ratios are impressive.

6. Naughton is our most clever player when it comes to reading the game. Downes is good as well.

7. Downes, Bennett, Naughton and Fulton block most shots.

8. Manning and Cullen have blocked most crosses, but we have been poor at blocking the crosses so far.

9. Laird, Paterson and Ntcham are our most successful dribblers.

10. Both Grimes and Downes are excellent passers.

Our best XI when we play 3-4-2-1:

Benda - Cabango, Naughton (Cooper), Bennett - Bidwell (Manning), Grimes, Downes, Laird - Paterson, Ntcham - Piroe

Our best XI when we play 3-4-1-2:

Benda - Cabango, Naughton (Cooper), Bennett - Paterson, Grimes, Downes, Laird - Ntcham - Piroe, Obafemi (Cullen)

Our best XI when we play 4-1-2-3 (haven't tried it yet):

Benda - Bidwell, Cabango, Bennett, Laird - Grimes (Downes, Fulton) - Paterson, Ntcham - Cullen, Obafemi, Piroe

Downes doesn't get dispossessed as often as Grimes: 1) he doesn't make himself as available to get the ball; 2) his inferior touches are higher so he doesn't hold on to the ball; 3) his passing leaves a tad to be desired in the pivot role.

Grimes although now playing higher up the field, works to come back and receive the ball from the keeper and defenders.

Am I biased or what🤷‍♂️

I’m not against Paterson, I just think we have better options we can put on the field, with better upside on the near and long term.

Hands up anyone who doesn’t want Paterson in the 18?
I can't be against a player who has scored 2 goals in 7 games, who makes many good runs into the opposition box, who is one of our best dribblers, who is involved in many good things up front, who is an ok tackler, who's got skills...

We haven't seen the best of Paterson yet, but the same applies to Ntcham, Obafemi and some other players.

I admit, I rate Paterson.
