If you can choose between Covid vaccines, then you should choose Moderna vaccine. It's the safest one when it comes to serious adverse effects.

Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. People I know hear that have been vaccinated have received Moderna. My choice to at this time when my turn comes around

The doctor who wrote the article seems to be pretty unbiased. He says he would recommend all three vaccines to people who are vulnerable and over 80, but he wrote that article a week before the scandal in Norway. A couple of days ago the Norweigan health authorities said that 29 older people died there after getting the Pfizer jab. Yes, those people were all over 90 and all of them had two or more comorbidities, but still. It's madness to give people who have a weak immune system a vaccine which you can expect to cause strong side effects like high fever etc.

I’ll settle for what I’m offered. If only our First Minister, Mark Drakeford, would unlock his store cupboard. At present he is keeping back 100,000 Pfizers so we don’t run out before the next promised delivery (Feb 1).

I leaning heavily to Moderna since it doesn't have the deep freeze and handling difficulties of Pfizer. Simplicity is key I think.

I doubt we'll see AstraZen any time soon over here. And J&J is supposed to have a vaccine ready some time soon too,

It seems our doctor (see post 1#) was right. Danish Medicines Agency has just published their numbers for Covid-19 vaccines' adverse reactions.

I've had 2 x Pfizer. No reaction after the first but slight head cold symptoms after the second, which might be entirely unrelated.

I Spoke to my daughter in Swansea yesterday, couldn't believe the figures she gave me, of the five hospitals under Swansea, (from Bridgend to LLanelli there are just nine hospitalised cases between them all, and .no deaths This is a report she gets each morning on arriving for duty.

The Zoe app run by Kings College London estimates there are 221 active cases in all of Swansea That figure was over 5000 immediately after Christmas.
As John Wanamaker would say, “if only we knew which 221” we could be down the Liberty on Saturday.
At least we know where nine of them are.

The picture is clear: coronavaccines are effective. The number of deaths and hospitalisations have gone down massively in Israel and UK. Even in countries like Danmark where only 15% of population have been vaccinated. Danmark has 5.8 m inhabitants, 191 people hospitalised, 37 in ICU, and 29 on respirator.
