Just read on wales on line that Coleman is to step down as chairman. Good riddance if he does go back to the states.

That’s an interesting situation - did push become shove, or are there personal reasons. Were the delays in the fan forum due to movements behind the scenes.

The club have issued a statement that Coleman will step down at the end of the season .
Will we see new investment and a new face as chairman?

I know that he wasn't LadyGG's flavour of the month for sure. She felt he didn't identify in the least with our fan base and pointedly told him so a number of times in various meetings. This was before he became involved wth the recent take-over.

He has been working hard, it's disappointing to read that the staff hasn't been doing what they are supposed to. The blame shifted from Coleman to the people he hired. I don't really know, the club isn't going to tell us. It's a good opportunity to put in a proper team.

The flux this team has gone through recently is taking its toll. Four managers in three seasons. Old owners out, new ones in. How many people actually own this team anymore? 5? There must have been 3 "director of football" hires in as many years, and now there's set to be no chairman. What a mess. It would be really nice to see ONE owner, ONE chairman, ONE DoF and ONE manager stay in their positions for at least a few years (provided they're any good). This club needs to nail a few key personnel down and stick with them to develop a new (winning) culture.

The club is on a downward spiral which I guess is the reason Coleman is leaving his position. If we aren't careful it will become terminal so the suits had better start sorting their shit before it's too late.

Based on postings on the web site, for the Good Friday match, the Club are trying to bring children and families into the Liberty. A good marketing move. Nothing lost by trying.

LadyGG tried her utmost in her talks with Coleman to make the club more fan friendly for older people, families and the disabled. She told me that she felt that she was beating her head against a brick wall. The club have patently failed to understand that in austere times fans have much less disposable income and are forced to become very choosy about where they spend it. Part of the reason is that our suits have very much comprised wealthy Americans who have never been able to grasp that South Wales is a deprived area where people literally have to count the pennies.

It doesn't help when the team (a collection of overpaid divas in many cases) the fans are being asked to support with their hard-earned, can't be arsed to put in a decent performance to provide entertainment in recognition of that support. If they can't be bothered, why should the fans? The Trust, who have a representative on the Board, should be reinforcing this point on a weekly basis. But are they?

There's a new sheriff in town .... Club Statement | Tom Gorringe Promoted to CEO | Swansea

Seems to me that Coleman is transferring duties and responsibilities between now and the end of the season or is it adios already.

All this explains the slow walk with Sheehan. I anticipate he gets to the end of the season. I doubt with the new Football Director and the musical chairs with Coleman that the recruiting of a new manager has not been a priority. There's more happening behind the scenes than we realize.
