CT has announced that he is leaving the club and I think it is a dark day for us. No doubt he's looking aghast at the cockup that Cooper is making of the job and feels that he could have done far better and maybe should have been appointed instead of Cooper. I wouldn't disagree with that in hindsight. Of course I'm only speculating as no reason has been given but this does not bode well for us and I wonder if this is where we start to break up as a club. Young Tosh has a great record, along with Gary Richards, of bringing some special talent through to the first team and he will be greatly missed. I want to say a huge thank you to him, wish him well in the future and, one day, hope to see him back at the Swans. Good luck, Tosh.

This is a disaster. It’s a strange time of the year to leave a club. What triggered this.

We have lost our fall back position in the event that Cooper goes. Who now steps-up or steps-in on an interim basis. Perhaps that’s the problem ... the word “interim”. Was there an internal clash of opinions. Or, are we just that strapped for cash that Toshack was the one to be walked off the payroll.

Now we will get to find out who was the key guy at U23 .... T or R.

It’s all going from bad to worse. Is Birch a cloaked Scummer. It’s as if every positive element at the club is being slowly dissolved or dismantled .... Pearlman leaves. Potter leaves. CT leaves. Talk that the Landore facility will be shutdown.

Trevor Birch appears to have become a bit of a nonentity recently. It would be interesting to know what percentage of his working week he devotes to the club being he has is finger in a few pies other than ours.

What bugs me about this is that I wouldn't say so much had the Swans appointed an experienced coach who perhaps was more suited to the job than Tosh. But they appointed someone with less league credentials than he possessed, someone who had no knowledge of the club or the players, which Tosh also had. He nurtured some of those youngsters and knew what made them tick, whereas Cooper didn't have a clue about them. Further, he had no experience whatsoever of working in a league environment which Tosh did albeit at a lower level.

Cooper's results so far have NOT justified his appointment and, as much as I like and respect Leon and Curt, along with Trevor Birch, I have to say that I think they dropped an almighty bollock here and were smooth-talked out of giving a proven member of staff his deserved chance. Cooper really does have it all to prove after this.

I don't think Cooper will ever justify his appointment with us,nor will he ever prove to be any different, whether we are winning 1-0 or losing 0-5 the expessionless moron just stands there, hands in pockets, with that vacant look on his face. Can't see things improving in the second half of the season as we may well see players leave in January even adding to our woe, he is turning our promotion battle into a relegation battle.

I've read somewhere that a significant number of the Academy staff has already handed their letters of resignation, which means they've got a confidential memo that the Academy will be sold.

Cyprus? That is a bad sign. Why throw away an academy that has been successful. Makes no sense, we need new owners. Letting a legend like Toshack walk to Cyprus. Swansea is losing its identity.

On reflection ... the seeds of this were sown when he was over looked and Cooper was appointed. The ... WTF do I have to do ... thoughts have led to this move; which didn't happen, or is unlikely to have happened, on the spur of the moment. He must have been hunting for opportunities, discretely, and interviewing as and when he could.
