The only reason we are stocking up on #9s and #9 wanna bes is either to avert injury and suspension impacts or to run the poor bar stewards into the ground for 50 minutes and then sub them off and have their replacements repeat. Much better to have them run smart and serviced by a clever #10.

Why does it seem like we have someone behind the scenes calling the shots on targets and sales (as per usual)? Obafemi being the obvious alarm bell. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disparaging the player one bit. At 21? He's 5ft 7 but probably stockier than 80% of our squad and dear lord are we slight in stature. A 0-60 speed merchant not easily knocked off balance springs to mind.
BUT there is a completely different coaching setup now in contrast to January when the initial attempts were made to secure him.
Is there anybody other than Tate that has longevity at the club in a staff position? We have no technical director/director of football that I know of.
What I'd give for a late Bony announcement with a big goal scoring/assist bonus and Chico with a big clean sheet and appearance bonus. Bench warmer extraordinaire. Bony is already local FFS and I know before you say they are past it, Ronaldo is 36, Chico is 34, Bony 32 and Trunds could bring his boots and put a better shift in than a lot of the lads.

We have a Sporting Director ... Mark Allen. Was promoted into this new position back in July(?) This is a Technical Director / DIrector of Football role as I read the news release. Mark Allen named sporting director at Swansea City | Swansea

He's a new age zen fitness freak. Yeah Chico was posting videos of himself training in the Qatar heat in his Swans kit last pre-season offering himself up to return funnily enough.
There's probably nobody left at the club with the knowledge, memory or clue how to get in touch with any of these guys. (Or the financial ability to make it happen. Cardiff were attempting to sell Moore for £12m, we sold Lowe for £1.5m).

We just shipped out Kyle Joseph to Cheltenham on loan. Again, I hope we have the option to recall.
Now only a few weeks ago, Martin was bleating about how short our squad was in numbers and here he is shipping out Cooper and Joseph. I thought Joseph had a very decent performance against Argyle.

I notice Celina on loan to Ipswich from Dijon. He didn't suit Cooper but, as he did okay under Potter, I wonder if he could have done a job for us under Martin? Both the latter share similar ideals of how the game should be played and there's no doubt that Celina has that sort of ability.
