Interesting. That was the system used on another site. The leaderboard tended to be more squashed up but then the moans were that you always got at least two points for predicting a draw.
i remember Rainbow’s response when The Blobster revealed that he had predicted the Swans to lose!!

If you predict the correct score, you shouldn't get the extra point for the correct GD. The extra point for GD would be earned only if you predicted the correct outcome and the correct GD.

Wait a minute. Say the score is 2-0. If you predict 2-0 you get 1 for correct outcome and 1 for correct score, but not GD =2. If you predict 3-1 you get 1 for correct outcome and 1 for GD but none for correct score also =2

I think the points are currently earned as follows:
A) 3 points for a correct score. (e.g. predict 1-0, score is 1-0)
B) 1 point for a correct outcome. (e.g. predict 1-0, result is a home win other than 1-0)
C) 0 points everything else

It would be nice if for (B), that you would get 1 extra point for a correct GD. i.e. predict 1-0, result is a home win = earn 1 point, earn 1 extra point for a result of 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 etc. where the GD = +1 to the home team. So it's an extra point for getting the goal spread correct only on (B).

I’ve just missed another week’s predictions . Holidays,who’d have them?
To save myself any further mental anguish I’m retiring for this season. I hope you don’t mind.

I’ll spend preseason sharpening up my skills at the flat races and return to the fray ready to take on all comers!

I always make my predictions as soon as they become available , then I check them every few days to make sure they haven't got lost in the system !

Really pissed off!! Did my predictions for last week and saw none of them had registered when I just checked to see how I was doing. I entered tomorrow's again but the best I can hope for is 3 points if I get the exact score. Not happy.

I'm doing quite well this season, there's always going to be a week where I miss the picks too. I have it when they don't have the fixtures for the following week up until too late.

It happened to me a lot last season and the one before that as well. I actually mailed them to ask WTF? They replied expressing surprise but couldn't throw any light on why it had happened. Just suggested that I make sure that my predictions have been saved, which of course I do by rote. That said, there's no money at stake and they provide the game for free for us to enjoy, so shouldn't really complain. It's still good fun.
