Not optimistic after our recent performances. We need to win to get our season moving but I feel a draw would be a good result the way we're playing right now.

Martin has to start walking the talk. He should have learned from the last two weeks, can he put the lessons into practice. Is he willing to hold players to account - e.g, drop obafemi and start Cullen. Like Andy Pandy, Martin doesn’t practice squad football, if you’re not on the list of lucky charms, then you’re a practice dummy, once set moving between the two takes injury or suspension or photos. Team selection will tell part of the story, the style and score by half time will tell the rest.

A draw against WBA, Watford, Burnley and Norwich away would be a good result. Against all other teams a failure.

We have to remember that we played well at Rotherham. Created a lot of chances and were unlucky not to win.

A defensive line-up. Paterson injured, Ntcham and Cullen on the bench. I just hope Martin plays Fulton in the attacking midfield.

Why Sorinola instead of ntcham or Congreve. Is that warranted based on performance. Sticks with Naughton at CCB instead of shifting him to rwb and bringing in Cabango to shut up shop down the middle

Rotherham were recently promoted and favourites to go down. Despite the chances created we lost two points. Granted it's good that we're creating but we have to convert them as well.

Am watching Cardiff and, given that Morrison has brought in 14/15 new players, he's got them playing really well and their goal (it's 1-0 right now) was beautifully crafted - a proper footballing goal. As their players bed in they'll get better but, as of now, they're playing better than us and Russell has a far more settled squad at his disposal. Game just finished and comms described them as being on fire. Okay, it was only 1-0 but when was the last time someone described us like that? They look fitter, stronger, faster and play some very good football in patches. If we played them now I reckon we'd lose and that's a damning indictment of Martin who's had way longer to shape his squad.

8 defenders (Grimes and Fulton are defensive midfielders, Manning and Sorinola full-backs, and Lati is a centre-back) + 2 strikers.
Obafemi has been out of form (owful first touch and impotent in front of goal), and Piroe tries to score from out of box all the time.

Today's tactics:

Martin wants to hypnotise his opponents by playing sloooow and when they fall asleep he will shout Shoooot! to his players. Darling will then step up and fire a shot from 45 yards. If he hits the top corner we'll win this game.

I'd recommend you watch Cardiff's first two games. They were awful. Even if we play Martin's ball we'll trash them again this season.

They were far from awful today, CJ, and however they've been playing they've got more points than us.

Early days Ivor. We'll catch them. Have a little bit faith. Even the fans who have supported Martin are angry and he knows what he has to do: more energy, more direct passing etc.

Win today and we have 4 points. If not, then Martin must go.

Cardiff had 3 shots against Norwich, two on target and scored one goal. 3 shots! Then 6 shots (two on target) against poor Reading. I think they had all in all 2 quality shots for 180 minutes. Nothing to brag about.
