Birmingham

Here we go ... back on the road again ... on the home stretch. [Add your favorite cliche here].

We're getting the shit end of the stick. As probably the club in the league with the most international players ... wouldn't be surprised if we were the only club in the league with international players ... we start back with a Friday night game. EFL - 🤬 . Key players are showing up from here, there and everywhere; some carrying jet lag, some carrying a knock, all seeing little to no rest compared to the players at other clubs.

Thankfully we have to play Birmingham. Not to disrespect them, but thankfully we're playing Birmingham.

Over the last few days or so, we've seen Swansea players or Swansea prodigy rise to the occasion on the international stage, live up to the legacy, and do us all proud. Time for those still with us to bring it home and put it all on the line for the Club. No room for the weak, or the cowards, or the lazy, or the uncommitted. No room for those that don't believe. If Andy Pandy says jump, jump higher ... it doesn't matter that he doesn't know why.

@CroJack ... with his usual brilliant analytics ... seems to think that we have a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't care if it's bright or if it's dark, whether we're lucky or good; we just need 3 points as often as possible and they can be as fugly as they like.

Thing is he'll need a few games to find his feet again and Cooper didn't exactly rush to use him when he was fit.
Ayew returned with a knock. Andy Pandy may not have a choice. We are probably starting Lowe and Whittaker on Friday ... perhaps Routs in place of Whittaker!?!

Guhei has a knock and not meeting team till Friday evening , I think he will only be on the bench . Cabango must start. I hope Whitaker gets a start .

Lowe has been on duty with Jamaica. He’s going to be jet lagged off the red eye back. I expect Whittaker to start. Then either some funky collection of midfield players or Routs alongside Whittaker. Lowe to play second half if his legs are good.

might there be any quarantine issues with players returning from overseas ?

We can play 4-3-3.

Bennett, Cabango, Bidwell and Naughton at the back. Grimes, Fulton and Smith in the midfield. Lowe, Whittaker and Routs up front.

I would rest Roberts, Guehi and Ayew.

Then pivot to 3-4-3 going forward with Grimes dropping in between Bennet and Cabango.

and this is presuming Hourihane is still crocked

Cardiff lost. Swans start off the last stretch with a win would make me feel a lot better. How did Watford get 9 points clear of us. That last match with them could be crucial.

They are 10 points clear. +14 goal difference.

No Cabango in the Starting XI again. Not good. Birmingham score their goals from set pieces and crosses. Also, Ben has scored 4 goals so far for us.

We have 2 games in hand over Watford who also have some huge games in the final stretch including Us, Norwich and Reading. Not an easy run in. We've got to win today to keep any hope of automatic's alive. Hopefully the break has given us time to catch our breath...

Midfield as expected / hoped for.

no Cabango is nuts ... if he’s good enough to start for Wales against Mexico, then he has to be good enough to start against Brum

hourihane Is on the bench ... fit enough but not starting

Here we go. At least they missed the pen. But that should be a warning as Brum are looking the better side. Why on earth don't we try and sign a striker who knows where the fcuk the goal is? Cooper needed to be stronger and DEMAND one.
