He certainly seems athletic and a superb shot stopper but, as we know, the Championship has many team that chuck it in the mixer and rely on set pieces and crosses, so do you know how good he is at dealing with those?
Unfortunatelly, I only have data for 2017/18 season. He is definitely not afraid of crosses and is among the best (not the best) in the Danish Superliga at collecting crosses and punching the ball away. Here is what I like about him:
- He is a fighter
- He is full of energy
- He is commanding his box
- When he decides to go for the ball he doesn't hesitate
So, let's look how he compares to the other Superliga goalkeepers.
Shot-stopping
This graph shows saves to expected goals ratio.
Oskar Snorre has better stats for shot-stopping efficiency but the sample size for him is too small. He only played 14 games and only once against a top six team.
Safe hands
I am going to concentrate here on the most dangerous zone, the red one.
Most shots come from within the red zone and these shots are most difficult to save. This graph includes headers as well. The red represents the goals conceded, the orange one the ball parried into the danger zone, the yellow one the ball parried into the safe zone and the green one the ball catched.
As we can see both Grytebust and Snorre are excellent, though Snorre's sample size is too small.
Here is the safe hands rating for all zones:
