AN EVENING AT HOME WITH BOURNMUFF

Tonight and Saturday will show us how far we have come this season . I don't expect much of a return from these 2 games , a draw tonight and a loss away to Forest are the results I'm expecting.
Think that both games will be entertaining with goals a-plenty!
COYJB prove me wrong if you can .

Our season is dead and done at this point. Disappointed that we didn't put more effort and ingenuity into the game against Boro to keep hopes alive.

For the last three matches, I would be more inclined to see our loaners (Wolf, Christie et al) step aside and our own players be used to truly see what we have and what we don't. If that means recalling some players currently out on loan then let's do that. Let's have Benda between the posts. Let's have Cullen play the #10 with Piroe #8. Let's have Brendan Cooper alongside Naughton and Cabango. Let's see Dan Williams, Let's see Congreve et al. Let's see WTF we have.

Because the only thing we know for certain .... the current squad didn't have what it takes to get the job done. So I see no benefit in reaffirming what we already know. And, there's nothing to suggest that now that the season's dead that the current squad will do anything to entertain and deliver what they haven't been able to deliver to date ... purpose, work and quality in execution when it matters.

Furthermore, based on age, I don't see any benefit in Paterson or Bennet for next season other than as squad players and players to make up the numbers during practice. If we don't have better in the club ready to step up or we can't acquire anybody better then we will not be promoted next season either.

Now that there is absolutely no pressure on the team I am expecting a really entertaining game. Our opponents will play their part in this and be more than a little surprised when we win.

Could go one of two ways. Either we phone in a performance because we have nothing left to play for and get royally stuffed - or we can be relaxed, strut our stuff and play with freedom and flair, in which case we will win. Personally I think it'll be the former because I've long doubted the character of this team. But I'm here to be proved wrong and would love it if I am.

Bournemouth can still miss out on the automatic promotion places, so I'm not optimistic at all. Just hope we'll score a couple of goals and put a decent effort tonight.

Laird and Lowe starting, I like our lineup. May be playing for nothing this season but they should be building on what they have.

Cracking start for sure and brilliant from Piroe. Now let's see if they have the balls to make this a convincing win. It all helps with confidence for next season by giving us winning momentum.
