Read today that Abdulai is being sold to Leyton Orient. Being honest, I didn't rate him but that's being unfair to the player who was never played in his favoured position of CB. We need cover there so I'm surprised that he's moving on. There again, I suppose Williams must have assessed him in training at CB and wasn't impressed. That said, I don't trust Williams' opinion about very much at all, so you pays yer money.......

I've always seen Abdulai play as a CM for the U21. His mobility and talent being used to power the center of midfield.

Surprised that we've sold him. When he came on the scene (I think coincidently when Key arrived) he was played as a RB then RWB, then as a RW. He is a stand-in in those positions not a stand-out. Orient are picking up a quality player given games in the correct position.

I would have thought that the best move is to loan him out to get game time, then reassess in the summer. Parker must be all that and then some, which is the only reason I see for moving Abdulai out at this point ... or we have a serious player about to arrive and Abdulai was really considered surplus ... or his agent figures he wants a pay day and engineered something against the players best interest.
