Pressing game? Right. But you need fit, strong athletes to do that and we didn't have any; nor do we have them now. Honestly, I'm glad we didn't win promotion this season. We're just not equipped for the Premier League in any way. Our passing isn't good enough; neither is our ball retention; our fitness levels; nor anything else that makes a PL team. We'd have been slaughtered in every way imaginable.

Unfortunately, I get the same feeling about next season because I'm guessing the same things will apply. Only when those stinking parasites get the hell out of our club, and proper owners come in an invest in some quality, will we ever see the Premier League again.

On another subject, anyone note how many low struck penalties have been saved recently? Even top professionals haven't got the message. Hit them low and today's keepers have a 50/50 chance of saving them. I know the average footballer is as thick as s h one t but, c'mon, even they should have twigged by now.

Accept it, Ivor, unless a fervent Swans supporter makes a billion from bitcoin our chances of staying in the Prem for more than a single season are remote. We are a small club, smaller than the small clubs on their way back to us after one season in the PL.
Regarding fitness, Russell Martin has blamed that on the lack of a proper preseason. Let’s hope that will be rectified this time 🤞. Unfortunately the script goes that we sell players at the end of July and have to make up the squad with signings on the treatment table.

Woody started for Newcastle this past season. Played a handful of matches then disappeared. Finally found out or injured? Fulton's red was the nail in our coffin but we didn't capitulate thereafter (unlike Martin's mob). Bad decision on the ref's part.
