Already said that I think this will be a tough game. I don't expect a win and would take a draw but, at our best, we are good enough to take all three points. At the very least I want to see us continue our improvement and run them close even if we lose. I reckon it'll be sometime after Xmas before we really hit our straps but tonight's game should give us an indication of how our game is progressing. Maybe a 1-1 draw?

Don’t forget we’ve got form for midweek matches against WBA.
Yes, who could forget that display? And remember, WBA were also riding high at the time and expected to turn us over with ease. History has shown otherwise and we turned in one of the finest first half displays many of us had ever witnessed from the Swans. We've had a number of memorable performances in my time beating the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal Spurs, both Manchester clubs and Liverpool etc but, for me, the best of all was our very first game at the top level when we dismantled Leeds United 5-1 at the Vetch.

Leeds were a top, top club back then packed with internationals and, if my fading memory is correct, they had paid more for their England winger Peter Barnes than we had for our entire team. Derek Parlane cancelled out Jeremy Charles' first half strike so the sides went in at half time locked at 1-1. Then the wonderful Bob Latchford scored a quick-fire hat trick before Curt completed the demolition job with THAT goal. :)

I watched the game from the old Enclosure alongside the South stand, so our four second half goals were scored right in front of me. Just a brilliant and so unexpected result that I will never forget. And I still have the programme from the game! :D

WBA are not as good as people think.

Here are the highlights from the Stoke v WBA game. Stoke should have put 3-4 goals past them.

Forgot all about Obafemi I can only hope we have a fit squad come the final months of the season. My mind says 4-1 loss but my heart says 1-0 win. Hope we don't look tired on the pitch today. Maybe the crowd will carry them along. They're going to need it.

Martin thinks he has a winning line-up, stays with it. N'tchem is not a 90 minute guy yet despite being a better option to Smith?
