Another 3 points flushed down the toilet.

LOok at the bench. There is nothing that can be done to fix this. Naughton has to come on and one the CBs go to,left back.

But who to take off. It's a cock up of biblical proportion.

Had to go out in the car but managed to listen to the radio. Couldn't believe what I was fucking listening to!! Not actually watching the game so impossible to make any pertinent comments. But I will pass on what Ian Walsh thought of it. He said something like: Potter has just thrown a team on the field who don't have a clue of what system to play or how to get into the game. Walsh said that our performance is absolute rubbish (or words to that effect) and if Potter persists with the players and system on show, he is guilty of plain stubborness.

Quite frankly I'm getting fed up of Potter's tinkering and all he seems to be doing is sapping what little confidence our young players have. There's NO WAY should we be losing at home to a team in Wigan's position but at least as I write, we seem to be getting back into the game. Whatever, I will not be happy if we don't win this and neither should anyone associated with the club.

2 points pissed away because of a team selected like Potter didn't give a toss. If BoBo had selected that team we would have all gone ballistic. We fired Laudrup for nothin in comparison. Wtf do we think we are doing. Are we that arrogant that we think we can play any old XI on the field in any shape to win a game.

Is this Potter's way of saying FU to the powers that be

I feel sad for the likes of Routs, CBR, Harries. They deserve to be treated with respect and not tossed into a pick-up team. I opined a couple of years ago theater Routs could prolong his career by becoming a WB, but that transition is not a flick the switch deal, it requires that adjustments be made with coaching in a team structured to play a suitable system.

It’s a disservice to Harries and CBR that they needed to be sacrificed at half time to correct the manager’s blunder.

We're not complaining for nothing on here. Radio Wales commentators were equally scathing about Potter and his 'tactics' and, when I got home, I tuned in to Swansea Sound to hear more of the same from their man. Far better in the second half but the win was thrown away in the first period when Potter baffled the fans, the pundits and, in particular, his own players by using a system that no one could fathom. Ian Walsh continually complained that he could make no sense of what he was seeing and we were/not doing. Walshy is pretty savvy and very pro Swans, so if he's questioning the manager's game plan, you can be assured that there is something seriously wrong. After this debacle, coming on the back of some very poor results, the question has to be asked if Potter is now losing the plot. I hope not because I like the guy a lot but a manager is judged on results and performance and neither have been remotely satisfactory of late.

Meantime, Cardiff edge ever closer to Premier League safety while we edge ever closer to Division One. Thank you, Jenkins and your slimy, lying cohorts.

I've never seen a worse Swans 45' performance. Not even under Bradley. Embarassement. Disjointed, disorganised, no defence, midfield or attack. Potter cocked it up. We don't have players to play 3-5-2.

A totally different second half with free-flowing, attacking football.

That was an absolute crock of :poop:
We will be in a relegation struggle before this season ends.
The Back 4 are so slow getting the ball forward any gap is plugged before we can advance. The worst culprit is Mike van der Horn. As for the first half today what was Potter playing at? A rookie CB and an ageing winger playing wing backs for the first time? Did he think this was a training game? 3 points were at stake and he blew it before a ball was kicked.

Nothing to celebrate in taking a point out of this, these are the teams we should be beating, why did it take 45 mins. of a league game to test out a formation, this is what the training ground is for. Potter needs to get his act together, stop using league games to experiment with, or even then after 15 mins. seeing it wasn't working, change it. We wasted half the game with a team selection everyone could see was wrong. He is slowly but surely turning what was a promotion battle a couple of months ago into a relegation battle.

I should think so too.....

GRAHAM POTTER APOLOGISED TO HIS PLAYERS AND THE JACK ARMY AS HE TOOK "FULL RESPONSIBILITY" FOR SWANSEA CITY'S FIRST-HALF PERFORMANCE IN THEIR 2-2 DRAW WITH WIGAN.
A Swans side showing three alterations and a change in system from the defeat to Aston Villa, struggled to assert themselves during the opening 45 minutes.
The Latics raced into a 2-0 lead as Joe Garner fired home from the spot after Wayne Routledge had fouled Chey Dunkley, before heading in from a corner.
But changes in personnel and shape at the interval helped Swansea turn the game around, with Dan Burn's own goal and Mike van der Hoorn's strike ensuring it ended all-square at the Liberty.
Swans manager Potter admitted his side had been below-par during the first half, but said the responsibility for the manner of the display lay solely with him.
"My reaction is one of disappointment with myself for the first half," said Potter.
"I take full responsibility for the first half, we were not able to be ourselves and it was an uncomfortable 45 minutes.
"Clearly we had an idea, but it did not work or I was unable to explain the idea well enough and, in fairness, Wigan did what they did well.
"So I am disappointed with myself first off and I apologise to the players and I apologise to the supporters for the first half."

" It was an uncomfortable 45 minutes ??? it didn't have to be, it could have been an uncomfortable first 15 mins. and the relevant S/H changes should have been introduced then. I'm aware it would have meant using early subs, but at that stage we had nothing to lose. Why wait 45mins to correct an error that was obvious after ten minutes.

Correct , changes could have and should have been made. We could have gone in at half time 4-0 down and all Potter could do was stand there and clap his hands.
Time to stop pissing about , taking to the field without any recognised full backs was a ludicrous decision , stop fucking tinkering , put out your best 11 ( fit to play 90 not 60 mins) and stick with them.

I used to like Potter but now I rate him only slightly better than Bobo !
