I was expecting much worse, I hope a point gets them somewhere on the table. Awful calls. It was like a wrestling referee. Calling penalities on those West Brom dives. Come on. I hope Brom doesn't get promoted.

At least we didn't give away the goal in stoppage time this week. Progress?
No. We almost conceded in the stoppage time. We must not fool ourselves - it's a miracle we are three points off play-off places, which we, by the way, absolutely don't deserve. We don't dominate games, and the brand of football we play is awful. Why? Because our passing game has gone. We look so much better when we keep the ball on the ground. What we do right now is suicidal - we constantly give possession away and invite pressure. We are better than that.

I understand when a team is two goals up and sits back trying to hit opposition on counter. I would also understand that constantly giving the ball away is a part of a game plan and tactics. It's ok to be a good counter-attacking team. It's ok to be perfect defensively and not concede many goals. But, I can't see either in our style of play. We are not a good attacking team that dominate games, and we are not a good counter-attacking team. We are a team that is constantly under pressure, a disaster waiting to happen.

further to the points @CroJack made ... to put into context, we are playing Kenny Jacket football in the Championship, with players that were developed under Swanselona in our U18 and U23 system (e.g. Roberta, Rodon, Cabango, Byers, Garrick, Cullen) and hold overs like Routs and Dyer mixed in with a bunch of guys that are neither here nor there. I am considering Grimes and Fulton in the bunch of guys group because they should know better but don’t care to express it. Our Swanselona players are not able to express themselves because the other guys don’t have the necessary patterns imprinted as habit or the tight technical skills required to make it work and our Swanselona guys don’t have enough presence to force it.

Also, clearly Andy Pandy can’t spell Swanselona never mind coach it, or run any of the drills and patterns of play in practice that are conducive to that style of football. You can’t play what you don’t practice and we don’t play ergo can’t be practicing Swanselona.

One of the key elements of Swanselona, Barcelona, any-lona, is the desire to own the ball, and when you lose it you are ruthless to get it back. Everything stems from that principle and platform. When you yield 65% possession at home, you are not fighting to get possession of the ball, you are not working to retain it, you don’t pass with anywhere near the quality required to make the other team have to do all the dog work of chasing. We completed a piss poor 65% of 291 passes .... just 291 ... for reference we would routinely make 600+ passes a game back in the day and then with something like 50 to 55 % possession with passing success of something in the high 70s to mid 80s and our best players in the 90s .... which means we worked our balls off at a level of excellence. Not anymore.

Today, of the 11 best passers on the field, 10 were WBA players, and in the middle of that pack was Grimes with 36 out of 46 at 78%. Our 2nd and 3rd best passers were Naughton and Bidwell. WTF. This is not showing up to play a match; this is showing up to practice.

And all WBA could manage against such lack luster opposition was a draw. Dear god they must be disappointed.

If by some Hail Mary we got promoted, we would get slaughtered in the Prem playing this type of football with this squad.

Bilic is disappointed and then remembers his manners and is polite.

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic said (Swansea City 0-0 West Bromwich Albion: Visitors knocked off top spot in draw ):
We aren't over the moon, but it's a tough place to come because they have a team who have been very unlucky with recent results.

It's good to get the clean sheet with a solid performance and to more or less control the game, but we know have to be better in terms of quality in the final third. That's what was missing today. (phew lucky us)

I would love to be on the top spot but it doesn't worry me. The results apart from Leeds and Brentford were okay. At this stage of the season, the results around you affect the valuation of the point.

"Considering the bigger picture, this was a good point."
Compare to Andy Pandy:
We don't want to sing and dance about a draw at home, but at the same time there were a lot of positives to come out of the game that can help us in the final run-in.
Talk about smoking stuff. What positive is AP talking about. The data and Bilic's comments imply that the only positive to come out of the game was that WBA lacked their usual quality in the final third ... otherwise it could have been utter embarrassment.
