Well that was an interesting watch; much improved by a bottle of Aldi red (thanks @ivoralljack) no other colour to go with really - Joe Rodon did well, Connor Roberts played his heart out, Bale brought it and Daniel James is growing into his boots - no doubt about it! What’s fantastic to see is our young swans bringing it......🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏🏼👏🏼

Was it any good? Never tried it before, so you were a sort of guinea pig! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: But seriously I have found that Aldi and Lidl tend to offer better wine on a pound for pound basis than the main supermarkets. I've had a few pleasant surprises in the past with their plonk.

As for the game I thought that, although he tried hard, Joe was sloppy at times probably because he's playing in a poor and struggling Stoke side. Hennessey made an appalling blunder for their goal (no thanks to Taylor) but again he's not getting game time with Palace. And the same for Bale who was only a 5 or 6 by his usual high standards because he's not been a regular pick at RM. The same argument applies to Ampadu who's not getting games with his new club in Germany. I think that when Ramsey and Brooks return we'll improve a great deal because we definitely lacked creativity in midfield.

On the plus side I thought that Rodon was very good (Giggs described him as immense); Connor was well involved throughout and Dan was always a threat. The Swans' connection did us proud tonight but I must add that I thought Johnny Williams also did well when he came on apart from a couple of mistakes overplaying in defence. He plays with energy and pace and I love the way he drives at defences. Said many times that we could do far worse than sign him if he becomes available.
