Two days to go

Steve Cooper admitted that he wasn't happy with much of our play after the first 30 minutes, which for me is a good sign. But look, overall this was a decent performance which was actually top notch for the first thirty. The trick is to learn to play at our best for much longer in games because, at our best, we can beat ANY team in this league. It's only my opinion but if we can produce close to our best for close to 90 minutes in the remaining games then we WILL make the playoffs.

Some stats: POSSESSION: 55-45 SHOTS: 17-13 OT: 1-3 CORNERS: 10-0 FOULS: 15-13

Stats only tell some of the story but, for me, had we been playing a better team, then some of those 17 shots and 10 corners we conceded could have resulted in goals. Boro weren't good enough to convert them but other teams might well have. Our midfield HAVE to hold on to the ball better and take the sting out of the oppo. This is a glaring fault but, if Cooper can correct it, we have every chance of a strong finish to the season.

A nice heartwarming result. Cooper is not stupid enough to get everything right, what then would the fans have to moan about?
I was especially impressed by our attempts to win back the ball with some well read interceptions. Nor was it unusual to see our wingers chasing back, even to our goal line.
Those are just the things that really piss off opponents.

Cardiff really pissed me off today !
And when you look at the stats of the game there must be thousands of Leeds fans really pissed off as well.

Cardiff ................................. Leeds
31% ......................... Possession ........................ 69%

7 .................................................. Shots ..................................................... 17

2 ............................................. On Target .................................................. 3

2 ................................................... Corners ....................................................... 10

17 .................................................. Fouls ............................................................ 12

Apparently the Scum keeper had a blinder.

Appreciate that m8 you wouldn't believe the stick I get from including me own wife. "Why cant you be like Jürgen and employ the gegenpresse? Jürgen uses his substitutions. Everyone loves Jürgen!"
Your wife is a wise woman.

Here is what I don't understand. Cooper says he didn't like our football after the first 30 minutes but he still waited to make changes until 53 (Garrick for Kalulu) and 74 minute (Routs & Byers for Brewster & Fulton)??? That's 23 & 44 minutes wasted. We needed some fresh legs already at half time.

Millwall had 35% possession but more shots. 16:5 to 15:5 versus Derby. It would be pretty funny to see Leeds drop to 3rd. But there is no way their opponent should be this high on the table. Maybe it can give a good kick in the pants to Swans. Seeing them above us should motivate them to win every match.

It's tough to say when I have no idea what we're facing next season. Will we keep Brewster or Gallagher, VdH will the owners sell half the team? Who is our RW next year? i think Dyer has more in him. He's been a part of so many Swansea teams and can't forget Leicester City. He's a Premier League champion and I would hope is a good leader. With Leon gone Dyer is even more important.
