We all have our moans and groans from time to time, sometimes valid sometimes not. But spare a thought for this poor young lad, Nicolas Chauvin just 19 years old who died following an injury playing an academy game for Stade Francais. He broke his neck then died later of a heart attack. Will be just a horrible Xmas for his loved ones. RIP, Nicolas, sincere condolences to friends and family.

There was also the tragic case of that 13yr old goalkeeper Stewart McEwen who had just been signed by the Reading Academy this summer who came out of his canoe whilst canoeing on the River Usk and was swept down stream, there is still some unknown reason for his death ATM as the initial pathologists report states he didn't drown. RIP.

So sad to lose anyone following their sport - there was also that little chap who died after a collision on the pitch I think he was 14 - his mam was on tv this morning talking about their decision to donate his organs - as she said nobody should go out to play a game and not come home - heartbreaking losses for them all
