Barring a freak disaster during the procession in Paris tomorrow, HUGE congratulations to Wales' very own Geraint Thomas who has just won the race. Hugely deserved, Geraint in the past, has done more than his bit to help previous British winners such as Wiggins and Froome to win the event. He's very popular amidst the cycling fraternity world wide, particularly because there has never been the least question of him being anything other than a drug free, 'clean' competitor. And he's also regarded as being one of the most friendly and approachable people in cycling.
He can now claim to be a Tour de France winner, the most prestgious cycling road race in the world, as well as an Olympic gold medal winner on the track. Well done, Geraint, you have done yourself, your sport and Wales proud. Great to see one of the nice guys come out on top.
