Very sad news whether one is a monarchist or not. She deserves recognition and thanks for the constant dedication and meticulous attention she paid to her role for many, many years. Personally I am not a royalist but I understand and appreciate the stability that the throne has given us. God forbid that the likes of Tony Blair should ever come to power were we a republic. She was loved by many in this country and indeed throughout the world. Condolences to family and friends,

Brought a smile to her face by flicking v's at her when I was young , I also sang in front of her at the Brangwyn Hall as part of a small school choir.
RIP , It's such a shame that she will be succeeded by her wally of a son .
