Thank you Sir Alan.

Sad to hear that. A true legend who has never let us down. Hope he writes a book. What a read that would be.

A legend indeed in every sense of the word. Very pleased that he will still be with the club in his new role and I wish him every happiness.

Thanks for everything, Curt.
Just heard from a reasonably good source he's been given the option retire or be sacked.

Hence the redundancy notice a few weeks ago. He’s enjoying what he’s doing with a lot of upside in a young squad ... why would he suddenly want to stop doing that.

My thoughts exactly Yankee. Seems he was given that option on the arrival of his 65th birthday.

Shouldn't matter how old you are, if you're the BEST person for the job that should be all that counts.
Its only money that counts with the yanks, cut the overheads irrespective of the consequences. It's always been my belief that they told Jenkins Laudrup had to go before any deal could be concluded, as he was probably the highest paid manager the club ever employed, and replace him with Monk for peanut money. Jenkins may be under a gagging order, but he did say when he left the club, "I didn't want to sack Michael."

I don't think Laudrup's sacking has anything to do with the yanks. They were not around in February 2014. Jenkins probably didn't want to sack Laudrup, but he got orders from Morgan.

Bit of fun from Curt. Note what he has to say about Ante and Tommy Smith in his hardest player selection. I have Tosh's auto biography where he picks two of his best teams. He took care to include himself in Ante's team because he said he never ever wanted to play against him!!

And now Curt selects his best ever Swans' team:

I would disagree with one thing though where he splits the game between Ante and Speedy. That should have been between Ash Williams and Speedy because anyone who ever saw Ante play will know that neither Ash nor Speedy was on the same planet as him as a player. One of the best CBs I ever saw for any team. Had to agree with Latch as his striker because Michu really only had the one season and Wilf not much more; although both were incredible players for us. Latch was a complete striker. He was strong, two footed, a brilliant header of the ball and a lethal poacher in the box.
