Swansea v Wigan.

Ayew has 2 good clearances on corners today. MOM is hard to decide. Gallagher, Ayew, Woodman, Brewster.

Tidy win. Well deserved. Tad more quality at crucial moments and it could have been by a wider margin.

Gallagher is a game changer ... Grimes and Byers pay attention .., Fulton could start in place of either of these two for me.
Brewster is going to get better with each game

Fulton should, it's too bad Cooper doesn't utilize his bench more and give minutes to other players. I'm assuming they are going to loan or transfer some players. Wait until Rodon on Garrick come back, too many players. As long as it isn't Ayew or Rodon. Ayew had 2 big clearances on corners, he plays defense and he's a veteran striker.

Couldn't see the game so I can't give a personal view. But, listening to the comms, it seeks that Wigan outplayed us for large periods of the game and that shouldn't have happened. Of course the 3 points are very, very welcome and Brewster scoring was a big bonus as it'll do wonders for his confidence. Concerned that Wigan were too easily able to take the game to us though but it's early days for this 'new' lineup and it can only get better as they get used to each other. PS: From @CroJack 's chart, it seems as though Ayew was MOM again and also good marks for others up front.

I don’t think there are squad limits in the championship as there are in the Prem

I think the comms were being negative. While Wigan had their share of possession we didn't really seem troubled by it very much. We had (off the top of my head) 4 chances that we should have buried while they had none other than their goal which we gifted to them by having way too many bodies pressing.

We were a bit Jekyll and Hyde in the sense that the first 25 minutes we were very good and then went silent for the rest of the half. Second half was roughly the same where we started well, faded but a great goal from Ayew gave us the lead that we never really looked like losing to be honest.

It wasn't a bad performance by any means and 3 points definitely deserved in my opinion. Would like to see us score some more goals and get our GD up but 3 points is 3 points no matter the score. Once we get Rodon and VdH back we'll be quite a force if Gallagher and Brewster continue to link up like they did in this one. Give those two another week of training and we'll see them even better in my opinion. Ayew has definitely taken Brewster under his wing and was encouraging him all through the match.

We haven't had a positive transfer window is God knows how long so it's refreshing to see us doing it now. We've got a bogey match coming up next but with the morale in the squad probably very high it's not impossible to get something from Stoke. Then a very tough fixture vs Preston which, for me, is the key to whether or not we'll be in the top 6 come spring. Got to beat those around us competing for them spots.

Don't listen to comms too much. It's simply not true that we were outplayed for large periods of the game, but to be fair to Wigwam they were decent and dangerous from crosses.
We had better chances and should've scored two more goals.

It was a pretty open game where we committed bodies up front all the time, which left gaps both in our midfield and defence. Possession was 50:50, shots 13:12, shots on target 3:2, big chances 2:1, tackles 15:12.

Top 2 form has dropped off dramaticaly.
Fulham, Brentford becoming an auto threat to them.
Forrest could well be the dark horses yet.
