Big day in the Championship tomorrow with 18 of the 24 teams playing. Still room for some changes in the top six, A very much outside chance for us, relying on other results.
Then on Wednesday the final throw of the dice with all 24 teams playing.
We should have the more incentive against Bristol, providing birdbrain makes the correct subs at the correct time, otherwise we could again drop points in the final quarter.

With Naughton suspended we are left with a potentially more solid 3+2 system with VdH, Cabango and Guehi at the core. We need to put yet another underage defender on the bench or John (remember him).

What we have shown over the last few games is that Grimes, Fulton and Gallagher are a very useful midfield setup but increasingly leggy with each game late on. We have nothing on the bench that can really replace any of the members of that unit. Byers is not a complimentary fit neither is Celina or Dhanda. They have fresher legs but seem to lack the same cohesion and fitness for purpose.

We still have no idea whether Cullen has the tools to command a start for next season.

Ayew should be captain of the team. He is a natural leader. Grimes just doesn’t have the same gravity.
