Swansea v Brentford.

Tomorrow we face probably one of our biggest promotion threats, a team very much on form, but having said that , so are we. A game that needs no motivation from the squad, they know what they have to do, and be up for it. Hopefully Morris will get some game time, think we may need a bit of beef where it matters.
Brentford are quite a physical side, they're scoring well but also conceding far more than us. I think the odds are on our side, we're above them in the league, on our home turf, not a great advantage but non the less an advantage. conceded less goals. I feel quite confident we can take the points tomorrow, and put even more daylight between us and them. We then become a threat to the league leaders Norwich, who we have at home on Frid. Feb.5th. hopefully we can put Rotherham to bed in between.

We cannot harbor any fear of playing other teams, but instead believe, no expect a win. We are the team that does not concede. We are quickly becoming the team that scores. We dispatched Forest with relative ease, not with dominance throughout the game but with comfortable containment and then clinical lethal strikes as opportunities presented. Bring on Brentford. Bring on Norwich. Bring on City. Let’s see what you’ve got. Let’s take a measure of ourselves by how we deal with these challenges.

At this point Andy Pandy has to be operating with a sense of comfort and confidence as opposed to insecurity and nervousness when he first arrived.

I have also noticed in training videos and on match days that Tate is either in his ear or never far away. That's also having an impact. For all his deficiencies as a player as he climbed the levels with us, Tate has one intangible ... been there and done that ... and he's seen the best coaches and managers over the last decade up close. I'm thinking of Martinez, Sousa, Rogers, Laudrup ... if you can't watch and learn something from that lot then you're brain dead.

Just had a peep on the Brentford forum, They're certainly not over confident, over 60 predictions.
Majority going for a 1-1 or 0-0 draw, the remainder going for a split Swansea or Brentford win.

See they're more worried about us than we should be about them

Watford jumped above us last night. We have a mission today. Win and recapture 2nd place. It's simple, we need to be focused and execute.

I feel confident on both ends of the pitch now. 3-1 result would be nice. This is a big match for Jordan to come into. He would probably start on the bench. We'll see.

Tentative start by both sides. Not overly impressed by this pitch, tbh, and feel we've had much better in the past.

57% possession to them and no shots on target by either team so far - as I type Brentford go close.

We are creating zip whilst Brentford easily look the more dangerous side with a couple of decent efforts. We're playing long ball and our passing game, hence any rhythm. is non existent.

Nervy first half. Have to wonder with all the long balls what Cooper's strategy is here. Trying to fatigue the Brentford players. Possession ball is much easier to watch. Impressed with Lowe's effort trying to make tackles. Have to do something before the red card comes out. At least we're defending well.

They are a quicker team than us, far quicker. We are painfully slow in transition playing walking pace at times. We need far more urgency because right now it almost looks as though we're playing for a draw and hoping to catch them on the break. I can't say that any Swans' player has excelled and Hoory is very quiet given his obvious quality. Much more effort and drive needed second half.
