Swansea City FC are being heavily criticized by BBC Sport for charging £478 for a child to be a club mascot for a game, this is higher than all the Prem Clubs except for two.most of the big clubs -ie City, Man U do it for free, Even the scum are less than half our prices. It ain't as if they are walking out onto the pitch with the likes of Ronaldo or Messi etc.

It would seem that a huge chunk of the fee is to entertain parents in hospitality with match tickets food and a full strip for the child thrown in along with the run out and photo opportunities - to my mind they probably get the kits in for less than a tenner - families don’t need to be entertained it’s supposed to be the children’s treat - most kids would be happy with hot dog chips and jelly in the press room at half time - I’ve akways thought it way too much and my football crazy son has never done it - he had a press day once going about like a sport reporter which we won in a charity auction - he had a brilliant day and it cost less than a fifth of what the club is charging - madness and exclusive elitism - or just plain wrong getting parents into debt.....tut tut tut
