Couple of bad decisions by the referee. Comms suggested he's beginning to lose it. Nothing new in our games. :(

It's been coming. I said before that I felt we were possibly in a false position based on performances and this game has underlined that in spades. We are not a good enough team to be Championship leaders despite what the stats might have had us believe. There is something missing and I can't quite figure it out but this game has emphasised our shortcomings big time.

Celina shouldn’t have lasted past half time. Ayew is not making things happen
Routs didn’t kick it into gear until 10 minutes before he was sub’d off.

On the other hand we were not beaten per se .... we lost on a give away. A give away that shouldn’t have happened, should have been resolved with a foul or a strong tackle into touch ... bad decisions in a sequence

At least I've saved myself a little time because I won't be tuning in to watch this garbage on Quest tonight and watch the pundits gloating that it was only a matter of time before they were proved right. As it happens I have posted here before that, as happy as I am about our position, I've been far from convinced about the performances we've put in to achieve it.

Without going into a blow by blow account of each game, we all know that we were battered in the games against QPR and Leeds yet came away with 6 points. Commendable results but achieved well against the run of play. Then there were other games where we were pretty awful for 45 minutes before dragging ourselves back into contention to grab the points. You can only go to the well so often to do that and today was once too often.

I can't comment personally because I didn't see the game (nor do I intend to) but the sense I got from the comms on the broadcast, was that we just didn't engage in this match and there were too many players just GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS. Well, if that is in fact the case, then Cooper has got a lot of hard thinking to do if he wants to maintain our position at or near the top of the table. If his starters aren't doing it for him then he has to bring in fresh, hungry players who WILL do more than go through the motions and offer a whole lot more in terms of endeavour and commitment. Garrick is one such player who springs to mind.

Another thing. I've been reading from various players that Cooper's training varies slightly from that of Graham Potter who put more emphasis on ball retention and passing. Well, one thing I've noticed for myself is that so much of our play has become sloppy where we lose possession in situations where we shouldn't. Cooper has to put a stop to that and start instilling more of the Swanselona style into our game to augment his own style of play.

He has plenty of time to get to grips with these issues and get us back on track to push for promotion. But these problems must be addressed NOW and he has to be ruthless in dumping players who aren't up for putting in the effort it will take. Let's not flatter to deceive and let's not waste the great start we've had. We have the nucleus and talent of a team that can go all the way this season but sub-standard, lethargic performances such as today's must become a thing of the past.

Bidwell was absolute shite...again...
Ayew up to his old tricks spoiling our shape by wandering around in the inside right position instead of running around giving us width on the right. Too many sloppy passes ,we got what we deserved ... Beaten by a poor forest team.

Swansea way is missing. Pace, pressing high and constantly stressing opposition, triangles, pass & move, tempo, dribbles, through balls and accurate crosses, a player at the far post...

If we want to go back to the Swansea way we can't play Borja up front. He is too slow. Ayew lacks pace as well. Play Garrick and Surridge instead. But the question is does Cooper have balls to bench Borja and Ayew?

Another thing is a lack of rotation. Cooper should have given some rest to Celina, Roberts and Rodon. Thet shouldn't have been in the match squad today. We have Byers, Naughton and Wilmot. All fresh and ready to go. Garrick and John should've been on the bench, if not in the starting XI.

Totally agree. Bidwell is too slow and can't run past opposition defenders. Ayew was doing everything he shouldn't be doing, at one point he was playing as a left-back . I don't understand that Ayew, who has skills, constantly passes the ball backwards and does not try to dribble, challenge opposition defenders, create something and shoot.
